The nearby vote on the "debt ceiling" can we stop the runaway "spent money" by denying to INCREASE the debt ceiling?

I heard a liberal pundit ask if the new congress would let the country fail by NOT voting to increase the "debt ceiling".

In my opnion, not only would the country NOT fail but it would flourish if even SOME of the legislation passed by the outlaw congress were stopped by NO FUNDS.
