Comment by Darlene Littlejohn on June 16, 2011 at 12:32am: Jim, a lot of people like FB as a fast way to connect with many different people at once, and they like the discussions that take place there.

I will admit that I got along fine without FB until last year when I became the director of online communication for iCaucus. I hardly ever use it to connect with family and friends, except when my granddaughter was in Iraq. However, it is great for campaigning, which is what I use it for. As I said, privacy is not an issue for me, because I just don't care (for myself, that is).

Just have no interest in the medium whatsoever; use it only when one of my friends leaves a facebook message for me. I tell them to email me, but for some reason they seem to prefer facebook. Have no idea why, but I have no interest in using at all.

Unfortunately it is being subverted by those who seek power. it is THEM not US who should be banned.
