WHEN DID FINGER POINTING BECOME RACIAL?

Recently we have heard a lot about the finger pointing incident on The Tarmac by Governor Jan Brewer at President Barack Obama.  The incident is now being proclaimed as a racial situation, and The Governor is being blamed by Jessie Jackson and others as causing division, and calls are being made to smear her name.  It has even being suggested that her actions may cause The President to be assassinated.

I am not writing this note to debate the ethical question of whether or not this incident is right, wrong, or disrespectful.  I wish here to address the issue of whether or not those that accuse this incident of being racial have any merit.

How Race entered into this situation based on a picture is beyond belief.  It seems as if those that will use discrimination as an excuse to divide us will stoop to any level to cause racial strife as a way of maintaining themselves in a position of power.

Prior to this event, Governor Brewer has not to my knowledge ever been mentioned or charged as a person with a history of racial discrimination.  If we are to be suspect of any one of the two, the lot would fall on our President as he is the one with the history of promoting class warfare, and standing along the side of the likes of Jeremiah Wright as he proclaimed Black Liberation Theology (a doctrine of hate) from the Church that he attended for over twenty years.  Our President also stands with The Attorney General Eric Holder who refuses to prosecute The Black Panthers for intimidation against Whites.

Many Blacks have jumped on the band wagon and are blaming Governor Brewer of being a Racist because they accuse her of wanting to “set a Black man of power straight.”  They accuse her of using the opportunity to promote her new book, and to show the nation that she has the nerve to stand up and put him back in his place publicly.

They also point out that it is disrespectful for someone White to ever point a finger in a Black persons face in public because of the dark racial history of our country.

They also have failed to take into account that our current President, Barack Obama has himself repeated this gesture on several occasions to State Officials and foreign leaders.  Are we to assume that his actions were Reverse Discrimination?

We need to approach this situation with caution and with the facts.  We have enough problems in America and should not add fuel to the fire by placing charges of racial hatred to incidents simply because of a picture or historical stereotypes.  Many people also exercise their freedom of speech with incident hand gestures that may not carry any measure of contempt in their appearance.

Let us not rush to judgment and accuse others of such a serious charge before we investigate the facts.  We must move on and tackle the problems that are pressing this country.  We must not use The Race Card to unjustly cause someone to receive scorn.  We must move forward and unite as One America and maintain our respect for one another.

What Gov. Brewer did might, or might not, have been disrespectful, but it certainly is not racist.

America is more than just a country...America is a promise...a promise of freedom and liberty for ALL, regaurdless of race, religion, creed or anything. America is the promise of equal opportunity.....ANYONE can be ANYTHING he or she aspires to be if willing to work hard toward that goal....that 'promise', however does not gaurantee equal outcome....unless we are willing to shake failure off of our shoulders and try again.

A very wise man once said that people should not be judged by the color od their skin but the content of their character.... I've believed in that idea for as long as I have been aware of right and wrong.

Does anyone have ANY IDEA what Gov Brewer SAID to him????? He doesn't look very 'upset'....maybe she was telling him a joke or commenting on his TIE.....GOOD LORD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am so SICK and TIRED of the well known Poverty-Racism PIMPS LEAPING in front of any available camera to repeat their more than well worn complaints of "RACISM".

I find it somewhat interesting and definitely OFFENSIVE that whenever the topic of "RACISM" is brought up it is ALWAYS brought up by the likes of Jesse Jackson & Al Sharpton...two men who have made a fortune by stirring up racial tensions. Proclaiming someone a "RACIST" has been an effective method of shutting up the opposition & shutting DOWN the conversation............I am all for saying "if you want to discuss RACISM then let us have an HONEST DISCUSSION and stop the BS you've been spreading for 60+ years!

I am a Caucasion Female, 63 years old, and have seen alot in those years. When I was working as a Labor & Delivery Nurse in the 70's and 80's I was ,at first STUNNED to see who our patients were in the inner city hospital I worked at.

I watched young teen girls [the youngest was ELEVEN YEARS OLD]....HAVING A BABY.......PLANNING TO KEEP & RAISE that BABY. Many of these beautiful young women started having babies long before they should even have THOUGHT of being sexually active.............Their MOTHERS & GRANDMOTHERS ENCOURAGED them to start having babies as soon as possible.............the welfare system in Wisconsin at that time was extraordinarily generous to these kids.

It is not necessary to go into more details but these young women were garanteed that their future would not hold the promise percieved to be held by the 'white girls'. Finishing high school was never an option to these girls [most of them, anyway]. They had been 'sentenced' [through no fault of their OWN] to a life of being "BREEDERS"...a new baby every year, the "fathers" were nothing more than sperm donors although many of them impregnated as many females as possible and collected a PERCENTAGE of the welfare $$$ the girls collected.....the girls went through pregnancies, labor, delivery and child rearing and the sperm donors strutted around like BIG MEN....none of them ever spending any time with the 'fruit of their loins'. These kids grew up in matriarchal households and the boys, in need of male influence on their lives...ended up joining gangs, often to be shot by other young black men and dying before they reached the age of 20. WHAT A COLLASSAL, SINFUL WASTE!!!!!

The "Poverty Pimps" have convinced poor blacks that WHITE society has created AIDS to destroy the black community....they have also leveled charges that whites have deluged the black community with Crack Cocain to keep people of color down and dependent.

Black kids who do well in school are criticized for being "TOO WHITE", thus being discouraged to reach for academic success. When a BlACK person [male or female] manages to break away from the accepted state of Blacks in America...they are denegrated as "Uncle Toms", "OREOS" and any other term that connotes their betrayal of the accepted Black 'situation' envisioned by the likes of Al Sharpton, Jesse Jackson, Charlie Rangle, Maxine Waters...to mention just a few.

Just how SAD is it that the above mentioned people have achieved wealth and status while promising benefits to 'POOR BLACKS' simply to maintain their own status. They promise more benefits at the cost of the dignity of the majority of an entire race just to procure a dependable voting block.

It is long past time that Blacks ask themselves exactly HOW they have benefitted by supporting these people.

Thanks for the laugh tonight. Jessie Jackson and all those liberals really are race baiting. It is laughable. When they were all saying nasty things about Palin and her daughters and rape and such were they then calling out for someone to rape? They are loony tunes. It proves that being liberal is a disease. Also, on another topic I didnt listen to O as I tune off and turn him off when I see him about to move his lips but from what I gather on the web he stated Jesus would want rich to pay more. If thats true and he is speaking for Jesus what pray tell does he think about abortion and forcing the Catholics to pay for them. I just have to plead insanity for these libs.
