Why should Romney release tax returns?

I do not understand, for two reasons, why the Democrats and Mainstream Media [MSM] clammor for the release of more of Romney's tax records.

First, what is the purpose except to function as a fishing expedition in order to sling more dirt....not a worthy or beneficial goal.

Second, why the display of such obvious hypocrisy by not demanding to see records that Obama has spent millions to keep from public view and scrutiny?

These records include:

• his grammar school,
• high school,
• Occidental College,
• Columbia University,
• Harvard Law school transcripts and thesies,
• passport used to go to Pakistan when USA citizens were not supposed to travel there,
• health records,
• records explaining why he and his wife both gave up their law licenses,
• copies of 20 years of sermons by Rev. Wright that Obama never listened to,
• records explaining how the penniless Obama paid for his schooling and travel,
• selective service registration, Illinois State Senate schedule and records,
• law practice client list, Baptismal record.....all sealed.

Americans know everything about all past presidents, but about Obama, only what he and the MSM want us to know.
