...on the argument between Fiscal and Social Conservatives

Are you a FISCAL conservative?

 

...or a SOCIAL conservative?

 .

FISCAL conservatives are more concerned with monetary matters, (Balanced Budgets, Lower Taxes, etc.) whereas SOCIAL conservatives are more concerned with moral issues, (Abortion, Religion, etc.)

 

The obvious conflict needs to be addressed in a way that resolves the differences and unifies all conservatives, or they are ALL doomed:

 

• All agree that the Constitution is the final, definitive Supreme Law of the land, so, lets start there

 

• The very first sentence of that Supreme Law is the preamble. It states;

 

"...We the people of the United States, in order to form a more perfect union, establish justice, insure domestic tranquility, provide for the common defense, promote the general welfare, and secure the blessings of liberty to ourselves and our posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America."

 

• FISCAL conservatives, for the most part, profess little concern for that preamble in its entirety, conveniently ignoring the part that assures the blessings of Liberty to the Nation's posterity-its future generations. They are quick to point out that deficits cheat their children and grandchildren out of their God-Given heritage, dooming them to the enslavement of debt that inevitably follows from uncontrolled government spending. Yet, they will not take the leap, the conclusion of which is inescapable...That if they do not support, and protect, the absolute Right of those "future generations" to exist in the first instance, by at least opposing abortion, their justifications for their position amounts only to hollow, self-serving protestations.

 

How true the time tested addage..." If you stand for nothing you will fall for anything. "

 

The enemies of Liberty know this. This is why the progressive movement has become so formidable. They "hang together". ..And they are cunning enough to recognize the division, and the weakness, that the above conflicting contradiction to conservative principles causes among rhe ranks of so-called conservatives. And to exploit it against us at every opportunity. They have been very clever in defining the 'General Welfare' part of that preamble, to the utter chagrine and disgust of all conservatives.

 

To my conservative friends I say   " Hang together, or you will hang separately ".

I absolutely think one of the biggest reasons Conservatives have so frequently snatched "defeat from the jaws of victory" is due to infighting and conflict over what you address.  I think the key to unification, however, lies in prioritizing - making a "flow chart" of sorts to follow - starting with seizing this historical opportunity to focus on the fiscal challenges...that a majority of ALL Americans can agree on.  Then, for Conservatives:

1.  Take back control of the House, Senate and WH

2.  Methodically oust activist judges (like those in CA who STILL refuse to abide by us voting TWICE "NO" to gay marriage)

3.  Put energies and resources into getting more Conservatives in offices and positions at the local and state levels.

4.  Take on social issues in priority order according to when the opportunities present themselves (for example, when a new report of numbers for abortions since Roe v. Wade comes out, put our shoulders into public  awareness and pressure momentum in our favor).

It is my belief that "organizing" Conservatives is like the proverbial adage, "herding cats."  We're not so good at working smarter rather than harder.  But we're learning.  :) 

I think we gave way too many others too much credit for far too long.  I.e. fellow citizens lacking common sense, politicians so corrupt they can hardly distinguish right from wrong and "Democrats" whose agendas were not to preserve our Democratic Republic disappointed, shocked and betrayed us.

NOW we MUST stand together in full voice and say, "NO MORE!"  Nov. 6th will soon be here for us to do it!

@ Raya...thanks so much!!  Holding cyber hands across the country with those of us trying so hard these last years to save our country and refusing to let go...at least until Nov. 7th!  :)  Praying God is merciful and guides Romney to hit homeruns right over the heads of the liberals handing out the questions at each of the debates!
