NEVER TOLERATE TYRANNY!....Conservative voices from the GRASSROOTS.
Friday, June 12, 2020 (Real Conservatives)
Good morning, America.
Does “racism” still exist in America? Unfortunately, yes- but I hope we’ve made significant progress since the lynchings and other horrors lurking in our history. More importantly, I pray all sectors of “our national neighborhood” will someday recognize there is only ONE race- the HUMAN variety.
Yes, we humans do exhibit an amazing assortment of skin pigmentation- but as Martin Luther King declared so long ago, “character” is the true measure of one’s humanity, not a particular shade of skin color.
I have said several times in the last few weeks that the expanding civil war across America is NOT about skin color- rather Marxist anarchy verses the American Dream of equal opportunity, liberty and justice for ALL.
Nevertheless, the Toxic Left is USING “racism” as a “red herring” to promote its Marxist agenda.
For anyone unfamiliar with the term, a “red herring” is something used as a distraction in a “bait and switch” or “sleight of hand” operation.
Yes, I came of age in the Sixties- and I am not ashamed of loving John, Bobby or Martin. I still do. Yes, these men were flawed. So was I- and yet I am.
And yes, I am a Conservative- and neither am I ashamed that so many of my heroes of the Fifties and Sixties were African Americans. I love them all yet today and cherish those memories.
A few sweet memories? Jackie Roosevelt Robinson stealing home against Yogi Berra in Yankee Stadium in 1955. Being with my dear friend and fellow musician Rudy Thompson in New York City in 1964. Young and beautiful Aretha Franklin smiling back at me in San Francisco’s Jazz Workshop in 1966.
One more sweet African American memory among so many! My beloved drill sergeant at Fort Dix in 1965! SSGT Campbell was a hero among heroes. My fondest memory of SSGT Campbell? At the rifle range as I sandbagged my M-14, held my breath and hit targets with an open sight at 400 yards, he called me “Daniel Boone.”
And by the way, though I turned 21 in basic training, my childhood officially ended on November 22, 1963…
Now to the lawlessness and anarchy in Seattle! Hard to believe this is really America. We seem to be devolving into a genuine Banana Republic.
I refuse to fully describe the situation in Seattle’s battle zone- except to say armed militants have usurped all civil authority there with more than tacit approval of both state and local government. If this chaos is allowed to continue, it will spread across the nation like wildfire. Federal intervention is both necessary and justified.
I repeat! This civil war is not about racism nor any related barbaric implications of police brutality. This monumental civil conflict rests squarely on replacing the Rule of Law with unbridled anarchy- replacing our beloved American Dream with a Marxist Nightmare.
Most troubling, the rebellion BEGAN with an attempted bloodless coup at the highest levels of our own Federal Government with specific intent to destroy the Trump Presidency- not with the contrived surge of looting and lawlessness after the tragic murder of George Floyd.
