From the Declaration of the INDEPENDENTS:

"...That each Human Life has a definite point of beginning, at Conception, and that the rights of  Future Generations of citizens, “Our Posterity”, shall be protected as ourselves, as stated in the Preamble to the U.S. Constitution;"

 

So-called 'fiscal' Conservatives worry about putting their grandchildren into debt with profligate current spending policies. They say it is immoral to transfer the current generation's debt onto future generations, their Posterity. Their grandchildren are the Posterity spoken of by this Nation's founders in the U.S. Constitution.

These 'fiscal' Conservatives worry so much about their Posterity's future well-being, but take a liberal view of abortion, saying the woman, not the infant, has the right to determine the future existence of the infant.

They refuse to acknowledge that abortion eliminates a Nation's posterity, obliterated from any existence, whatsoever.

If America's Posterity are never even allowed to exist, what are these 'fiscal' conservatives so worried about?...so much for "future generations".

The concept of Individual Human Rights presupposes that humans are allowed to exist by their immediate ancestors, their parents. Without life, existance, there are no rights...there is only a dark abyss where nothing ever, including that concept, exists.

If you think "fiscal conservatives" are right on spending, AND also right on abortion, concurrently, do you not see the paradox?

This subject  "Fiscal or Social Conservative?" peaks my interest. 

I'll try to share a few thoughts from what I have experienced.

 

I once thought the two can be separated i.e. social and fiscal conservative, but I now think the two have to be inseparable but not in the sense that all issues are rigidly determined by individuals among each other or by "social" group think. 

When someone says he/she is a conservative, I assume they are both until I find out more where that person stands on both fiscal and social issues. Some people insist on declaring a distinction at the onset. While there is a distinction, those who claim to be one or the other only, are assuming the "social" part covers controversial topics such as abortion, birth control, marriage, drugs etc. Some others hope to breeze through not addressing these, and forget that fiscal also includes social aspects such as saving, not gambling, etc. I think to separate the two, leads to further division of the conservative group and mimics the left's tactics to fit everybody in a box. Oftentimes the term "fiscal" is politicized and used with the objective to attract a broader group of "think-alikes" by avoiding the social and often contentious issues forgetting fiscal issues can be just as challenging.

IMO, the reality is that no individual can possibly agree 100% with another individual on fiscal and social issues, so "conservative" should be the general definition. The distinction means different things for each of us. To come out and say, "I am a fiscal... or I am a social... or I am a fiscal and social conservative" is often un-productive but keeping it simple and use the term conservative is inviting to dialogue and the the meaning of "conservative" can be further defined. IMO, if there is no total consensus, the worst one can do is to point out at that point that the other person is NOT a conservative, because he/she does not match up to another's view of what conservative is... I had actually somebody say that to me, LOL! I thought it was funny because I don't need another person to define me, but not everybody is comfortable in their skin.

I hope I didn't confuse the subject further or went off the deep end with attempting to express my two cents' worth on this subject... just don't call me a "lib".
