A wise thinker once upon a time said
in words that sprang from his knowing head
that, "at once, Time and Space
are nowhere...and in every place
they’re all Relative, nothing’s real,
“ move on, there’s nothing here for you to feel.”
...and Matter does not exist,
once we’re gone we won’t be missed
After all, its only just a Wave,
...to Time we each are a hopeless slave...
...another form of Energy
moving through a Matrix, endlessly;
...and we are just a dream
swirling in rays of a twilight’s beam"

and here we stand, just you and I
with only the echo of a last “Goodby”
with miles of distance in between;
seas hued in blue, and fields colored green
across aeons and countless millennia of Time
tick-tocking in a woeful, rhythmic chime
...wondering if our Love ever mattered
as memories... at our feet, lay scattered

So, there’s one thing I will always know,
‘tho not as learned as that wise man, though;
that the power of our love was real
and to oblivion it shall never kneel -
...will never relent to that wise man’s abyss
and never forgotten will be your kiss
your loving arms, your warm embrace
existing in Time, but not in Space;
Those things, that Wise man never knew...
of those, he’ll never have a clue...

Though Wise Men be honored for their profound thought
the Mystery of Love can never be taught

so, we'll continue to live our secret Camelot

and the things of our love will ne'er be forgot

I limped away
into the night
I could've stayed
but for the fright
as shadows shimmered
...dancing on the fire light

When shadows whisper
o’er desert dunes
the blazing sun blisters,
the dry wind attunes...
...and those whispering echoes
roar like typhoons...

A silhouette, an echo, a shadow
a glimmering mirage,
on a distant plateau
in a withering barrage
of beckoning sirens
calling from a gothic montage...

...Its there you shall find me
whirling, swirling away,
memories behind me,
like dizzying dances
from haunted romances...

...a forlorn fading echo
calling, faintly,
faintly, faintly...
...then gone

We sailed away one ebony night
with nothing to guide us but pale moonlight
through a tundra, north of the valley of then
…on the river they called the 'river of when';
On a boat that was named The Dark Mystery
that never was written in man's history…

We journeyed through time, in a quest of the Lost
as farther we drifted away from the coast
with whispering wind pressing our sail,
without the dreadful fear of the gale;
…'twards a heading called "somewhenago"
shivering in silence as the trade winds would blow

As memory faded like mystical clouds
we leaned to the edge, covered in shrouds
scooping up moonbeams with our cupped hands
drinking to dreams of tropical lands
on the edge of quixotic, exotic horizons
shimmering faraway, like distant mirages...

With our destiny plotted on twinkling stars
we bragged of ladies and thundering wars
and wondered where, in the swirling of time,
the journey would end, and how it would rhyme...
if we wrote of it someday in a song
...when only rememberance comes trailing along
