Remembered, for just one good thing,
for doing things I said I'd do,
...those elusive dreams, like distant bells that ring,
chasing echoes...that I could never view

I  never found  gold in El Dorado
over those rainbows,...where fortune lies
...so, as reflections fade in shadow
like fluttering, elusive butterflies...

...I’ll just fly away to Chan-na-lee
to the east of the whispering bells;
and lie me down in a lost memory
where eternal silence ever dwells

I want to be a Memory...
remembered for that one good thing
reflected in your reverie
when those forgotten bells begin to ring
