7 have been arrested for fraud

19 have been accused of writing bad checks

117 have directly or indirectly bankrupted at least 2 businesses

3 have done time for assault

71 repeat 71
cannot get a credit card due to bad credit

14 have been arrested on drug-related charges

8 have been arrested for shoplifting

21 currently are defendants in lawsuits,
and

84 have been arrested for drunk driving
in the last year

Comment by Kathryn Ball on July 13, 2011 at 2:43pm: I very much doubt that even a 'default' on this ridiculous debt that Obama and the Dems have run up will result in Social Security Checks and other funds vital for peoples' SURVIVAL not being sent out.

I also find it more than offensive that these issues are used as cattle prods to 'influence' voters but other than Paul Ryan and a whimpy attempt by GW Bush, NOT ONE SINGLE POLITITIAN has offerred ANY KIND OF SOLUTION..............WHY?!? Because it has been an effective TOOL, along with Medicare to obtain votes from frightened seniors and others who depend on these 'forced savings' to be returned to them! [this is OUR MONEY in the first place!!]

You are correct, American Warrior, we are now reaping the harvest of our political laziness over the past 50 years. We all fell asleep and stopped paying attention to WHO these people actually ARE when going to vote. We were lulled into a false sense of security by pretty speeches given by smiling faces with perfect teeth & good hair! It never occurred to any of us to look behind the masks of these people. If we HAD we might not have been as dependable supporters of their MOST treasured thing---their POWER!

We sent them off to Washington to represent us but once there they discovered the heady rush of playing the role of philanthropist............with everyone's money but theirs! They are courted by special interest groups, wined and dined by lobbyists and adored and praised by their sychophantic staff & supporters.

Then we have the added benefit of the exponential increase in their personal fortunes both DURING their time in office and AFTER.

Hopefully, we will ALL be voting! AFTER not only looking behind the masks worn by those running for office, but looking into their pasts and their associations rather than blindly accepting their "WORD".

I also believe that God will not only have mercy on us but will help us to find the leaders we need to return this place to "One Nation, UNDER GOD", as it was always intended to be.

God Bless you, American Warrior, and thank you for your service. Without men and women like you, this country would have fallen to Socialism/Marxism long before now.

PROBLEM IS TOO MANY CRONY BUSINESSES ARE ALREADY IN BIG GOV'T'S BACK POCKET. AMERICAN FASCISM IS VERYMUCH ALIVE AND FLUORISHING. DOES NOT BODE WELL FOR EFFECTIVE "SHRUGGING". DESPITE THIS AWFUL REALITY, I PRAY WE CAN SEE OUR WAY THROUGH THIS HORROR SHOW.

I DON'T THINK THIS NATION HAS EVER BEEN SO BESET BY SUCH PROFOUNDLY INSIDIOUS, SEEEMINGLY INSURMOUNTABLE, THREATS FROM WITHIN.
