Quid Pro Quo and the Obama Family...The New Corrupt Era of American Politics

A pal of mine, a wonderful retired New York City Policeman, forwarded the following to me via e-mail which is of interest when looking into the Arena of Corruption. Do you remember the small amount of hoopla which erupted over the University of Chicago Medical Center's wage increase for "The One's" significant other? Ohhh...but she's IRREPLACEABLE! She's doing such a FINE job!

At the top right hand corner of Page 17 of the New York Post of January 24th, 2009 , was a short
column entitled "Replacing Michelle" in the National Review "The Week"
column. I found this interesting, so here it is, word for word, as it appeared in the POST:

Some employees are simply irreplaceable.. Take Michelle Obama: The University
of Chicago Medical center hired her in 2002 to run "programs for community
relations, neighborhood outreach, volunteer recruitment, staff diversity and
minority contracting" .

In 2005 the hospital raised her salary from $120,000 to $317,000 - nearly
twice what her husband made as a Senator.

Oh did we mention that her husband had just become a US Senator? He sure
had. Requested a $1 million earmark for the UC Medical Center, in fact. Way
to network Michelle!

But now that Mrs. Obama has resigned, the hospital says her position will
remain unfilled. How can that be, if the work she did was vital enough to be
worth $317,000?

Let me add that Michelle's position was a part time, 20 hour a week job. And
to think they were critical of Blagoyovich' s wife for taking $100,000 in
fuzzy real estate commission."

That's not a bad per diem for the "Sleeveless One"... That's a whale of an amount of money for 20 hours per week... Why was her salary not redistributed? Aren't there some folks in Chicago who could use some of that money?

By the by, I'm amazed that the University of Chicago only received $1 million... And it was for a PAVILLION of all things... might that be the Obama Pavillion? The Michelle Pavillion? The People's Pavillion? Oh...I know...The ACORN Pavillion!

And just think, this government is broke. Amazing how they just keep on spending money we don't have. Obama only wants to "redistribute" the wealth of the middle class so it no longer exist. Everyone will be dirt poor except the elite who will then use the poor as slaves.
