I am an American Patriot. I have sworn the oath to “support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same”, so many times that I have lost count.

I believe in the “Rule of Law” and that the Constitution is the “Law of the Land”.

My Views on Illegal Immigration

The immigration “problem” is not about race, creed, color, religion or nationality; it’s about the “Rule of Law” and America’s rights as a sovereign nation.

I abhor and reject racism in all its ugly forms. The pro-illegal, pro-amnesty proponents who scream “racist” or “racism” whenever an American says they want our laws enforced or our borders secured do so because it “works” for them to do so.

One of the ‘founders’ of the Reconquista movement said;

“We call things racism just to get attention. We reduce complicated problems to racism, not because it is racism, but because it works.” ~ Alfredo Gutierrez, political consultant, as quoted by Richard de Uriarte, The Phoenix Gazette, March 14, 1992 (quoted in The ProEnglish Advocate, 1st quarter, 2002).

Because of the legacy of slavery and racism in America, Americans are sensitive to cries of ‘racism’; they stand up and take notice. Real Americans are offended by racism and reject it and those that advocate it. They are equally offended when someone plays the ‘race card’ to ‘get attention’ or to leverage an otherwise unpopular position.

The United States is the most successful multi-ethnic nation in history. It has united immigrants and their descendants from all over the world around a commitment to democratic ideals and constitutional principles. Those ideals and principles have been embraced by persons from an extraordinary variety of religious and ethnic backgrounds, partly because they permit and protect religious and cultural diversity within a framework of national political unity.

The illegal aliens who invade our country, by their own illegal act, attack our fundamental ideals and principles, and endanger the future of America. They don’t hesitate to play the ‘race card’ to validate their own illegal actions. They attack the very principle that has made America great – they attack the “Rule of Law”!

Legal immigrants have made, and will continue to make, valuable contributions to our nation. Assimilation is valuable to immigrants who benefit from our shared American values of respect for the “Rule of Law”, personal responsibility, a sense of a shared history, freedom and patriotism. The values shared by our civilization, founded on a heritage of western civilization, Judea-Christianity and free-enterprise capitalism, serve immigrants and native-born alike.

Immigrants, legal immigrants, must honor “American Values”. In turn, we must not violate the hopes of deserving people who want to work toward citizenship. But if we allow illegal immigrants to invade America, and assert rights that they simply do not have under the “Rule of Law”, then America is doomed to become another balkanized state.

SECURE THE BORDERS FIRST!
ENFORCE EXISTING LAW

This above all must be done and done immediately! The method, I’ll leave to the “experts. Regardless of the technology – it must ensure that the wholesale invasion of illegal aliens into America stops completely and STOPS NOW! Must we wait until a weapon of mass destruction is ferried into America before we take border security seriously? Did our political “leaders” learn nothing from September 11th?

Nothing else must be done until this is completed – no legislation, no national debates, no posturing or chest thumping by politicians!

There is absolutely no need to invent new laws to deal with illegal aliens and those who would hire them. U.S. Code: Title 8: Section 1324 clearly provides for the prosecution including jail time and fines for those who knowing or in reckless disregard of the fact that an alien has come to, entered, or remains in the United States in violation of law, conceals, harbors, or shields from detection, or attempts to conceal, harbor, or shield from detection, such alien in any place, including any building or any means of transportation;

(a) encourages or induces an alien to come to, enter, or reside in the United States, knowing or in reckless disregard of the fact that such coming to, entry, or residence is or will be in violation of law; or (b) engages in any conspiracy to commit any of the preceding acts, or aids or abets the commission of any of the preceding acts, shall be punished.

The penalties for each alien in respect to whom such a violation occurs and in which the offense was done for the purpose of commercial advantage or private financial gain, be fined under title 18, imprisoned not more than 10 years, and fined $10,000.00.

Once the root cause that attracts illegal aliens to America is removed – jobs, the problem will resolve itself in a humane, cost-effective fashion. Illegal aliens will be forced to self deport themselves! Secure the Border & Enforce Existing Law. Now all we need to have is the political will to implement this.
