Our Politically Correct Government is Making Life More Miserable For the Innocent

America is long overdue for a SERIOUS global strategy that includes targeting threats such as the terrorist killer at Fort Hood, the individuals recently arrested in Detroit, Denver and New York, and the five Americans detained in Pakistan. The scale, persistence and sophistication of the enemy requires an honesty, a clarity, and a scale of response appropriate to the level of threats.

However, once again, instead of targeting the source of the threats, our politically correct government decides to make life more miserable for the travelling public by imposing hopelessly meaningless rules such as not allowing passengers to leave their seats in the last hour of the flight. Bound by cultural sensitivities, the default reaction of the bureaucracy is to review the procedures and wring its hands ineffectively while doing nothing to solve the real problem.

Today, because our elites cower in fear of politically incorrect honesty, they believe that it is better to harass the innocent people, delay the harmless folks, and risk the lives of every American than to do the obvious, the effective, and the necessary things to fix this mess.

It's Time to Be Honest About What We Already Know:
Before a lot more Americans are killed we must acquire the courage to tell the truth and to act on that truth.

We know our opponents are radical extremists of the irreconcilable wing of Islam (Islamists, some would call them). Regardless of what we call them, the honest truth about the matter is this, 100% of the attacks and attempted attacks are coming from that source alone and no others!

We know they have an ideology which is anti-female, desires to impose fundamentalist Sharia as a form of law, is hostile to other religions and is prepared to kill the innocent to achieve their goals. That includes women and children. Honestly speaking these "Islamists" have no morals and no scruples when it comes to taking human life. It is their only goal and they will stop at nothing to accomplish that goal.

We know how to identify these enemies but our elites in power have refused to do so.

Protecting the Rights of Terrorists Has Been More Important than Protecting the Lives of Americans!

In the Obama Administration, protecting the rights of terrorists has been more important than protecting the lives of Americans. This is an indisputable fact!

That notion must now change decisively.

It is time to know more about would-be terrorists, to profile for terrorists and to actively discriminate based on suspicious terrorist information. Of course the terrorists will protest, of course the ACLU will threaten to sue. But what about the rights of innocent civilians to a safe environment and their right to travel about the world in safety and security. If the rights of murderous terrorists or even the rights of someone who happens to look like they might be a terrorist are infringed upon a bit, then so be it! If they don't like to be profiled as a possible terrorist then go home and root out terrorism where it lives. In your home countries!

The United States should track down the owners of every website that promotes terrorism and systematically root them out. It should be as dangerous to a person promoting terrorism as it is to execute an act of terrorism. Don't tell me it is just not possible to do this. You try and make some sort of threat towards the president and see how fast the FBI or CIA is knocking down your door. It can be done and it should be done! If this is a war against terrorism, then lets get it on and act like we mean to win!

The same should apply to the electronic communications of every known radical (and using these communications to track down every unknown radical).

The United States Must Actively Root Out Every Single Terrorist Website....this should not seem like a new idea.

The people behind these websites should be barred from getting a U.S. Visa if they are not in the United States, yes, discriminating against the potential terrorist.

An integrated data base for terrorist threats should have been expected and developed long ago, yet we now learn that it does not even exist. This must be fixed.

It should be reasonable for the flying public to have expected that when the Nigerian terrorist's father reported he was going to a terrorist training camp he should automatically have been barred from getting a visa and from flying into the United States. PERIOD!!!

We Need a "Grand National Strategy" That is Bigger Than the Debate Over Afghanistan:

The emergence of Yemen as the new planning, equipping, and training center for terrorism should remind us we need a worldwide "grand national strategy" (to use the World War II term)

Americans should take note that ABC News is reporting that two of the plotters to blow the Amsterdam to Detroit flight out of the air were released from Guantanamo in 2007, attended an "art rehabilitation program" in Saudi Arabia, were released and took up senior leadership positions in al Qaeda in Yemen. Americans should also know that nearly half of the remaining detainees in Guantanamo are from Yemen!

The recent arrest of five Americans in Pakistan and the report there are 25 British citizens training to be bombers in Yemen should remind us this is a global war.

Moreover, the report that 74 Guantanamo detainees who have already been released have gotten right back in the war trying to kill Americans, should stop any further effort to close Guantanamo or to release terrorists back to their homeland. They are not going to stop no matter how much kindness or how many times we smile at them. It is a sign of weakness and we make ourselves the laughing stock of the terrorist world!

All terrorists including would-be bomber Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab should be tried in military tribunals as part of a serious war strategy.

The Attorney General, Eric Holder and every Justice Department appointee whose law firms provided pro bono counsel for terrorists should be fired and replaced with lawyers who believe the lives of Americans are more important than the rights of terrorists.

The United States must have a policy of effective interrogation to understand our enemies and disrupt their planned attacks .

We Need a New Strategy. Secretary of Homeland Security Janet Napolitano's claim that the Detroit bomber was allowed to board a plane with explosives hidden in his underwear proved the system worked is proof we need a new Homeland Security Secretary who knows we need a new strategy and a new focus.

These are just the first steps toward defeating the extremists. But the elitists in office now won't even take the first obvious steps to protect Americans.

We have been warned. Again and again and again! How many times do we need to be warned before we wake up and step up to the job that needs to be done?

Slowly but surely, this will be a lame duck administration in its first year....

The shrieking of the Left is being heard and we're being called Nazis and racists....that's okay...we can take it. Remember the old saw, "Sticks and stones can break our bones, but words will never hurt us?" These are but empty shrieks of the Far Left which will soon be finding themselves out of power after the 2010 elections. But we must be ON OUR TOES to ENSURE that this happens. We cannot let up the pressure, stop the phone calls, the letters, faxes, and e-mails.

If those in the House and Senate cannot seem to stand up on their OWN, we will PROP THEM UP with our outrage over what is happening to this country. There is NO MONEY for pork...there is NO MONEY for further bailouts...there is NO money for any social engineering...there is NO MONEY period!

We are in serious trouble with grotesque unemployment...and we do not KNOW how many folks are actually unemployed other than the phony figures issued by the government with their "seasonal adjustments" and all kinds of adjustments to make this administration look good. For those whose unemployment benefits have run out found full employment? This would be a doubtful surmise at best.... What about the UNDER-employed (those working fewer hours for less take-home pay, or those who can only find parttime work)....what are the REAL numbers for this group of folks?

And the federal government wants to INCREASE its spending....how in the world will this be paid? On the backs of those who make more than $250,000? There aren't ENOUGH of those folks in this country and why penalize them because they've reached their American dream? By doing that, the federal government will forever TAKE AWAY the American dream from all of us who want to succeed and do well...even extremely well! Why the heck not? This country is BASED on that for goodness sake!

According to the Progressives, we should all be lemmings...drones...while the queen bees in Washington suck the life out of us and there is no upside to hard work and risk-taking. When an entrepreneur starts up a new business and hires folks, why is the Federal government saying, in effect, "We're going to make AS SURE AS THE SKY TURNS BLACK AT NIGHT that you DO NOT succeed. We're going to mandate all kinds of rules and regulations from cap & trade to healthcare for your workers at whatever the cost is we DEMAND you pay, or we will put you out of business before you even get the door open to your customers."

Is THIS the American we want? I think not...I KNOW NOT. All of us are successes in our own right when we work, help our friends in need, raise our families to be upstanding members of society, and do the right thing. But that's not good enough for the Progressives who want to CRUSH us....STEP on our entrepreneurship....CHOKE us with taxes for programs that either do not work or are so corrupt that they have no chance of working....CHOKE us with regulations which will stifle new businesses....

Haven't we all been turned BLUE by this?
