Following is the foreword to my new book to be published in the near future.

I thought it appropriate to post this one page foreword in answer to Member PATTY'S current posting about government tinkering with the minds of our youth, our POSTERITY.

-Foreword-

This is a story about money. Your money. And how other people want your money.

To understand why nameless, faceless, “other people” want your money, you must first understand what your money is, and is not.

Reach in your pocket, right now, and pull out the highest denominated currency you have. Look at it. What you see is a piece of paper with ink on it. The ink is configured artfully, but certainly you do not carry this paper around because you appreciate the artwork contained on it. You do not possess this paper because of the intricate engraving, showing one of the various presidents on its face, and some form of governmental architecture on the back.

The only reason you carry this paper around in your pocket, guarding it against various perils such as theft, loss, and the like is that it represents your lifetime . I say “lifetime ” in the sense that each minute you exist, you are either working to earn that currency bill, or spending it. It represents some part of that continuum in time you think of as your life-your existence.

Money gives you the power to do as you please. It gives you the security you need to plan your future existence. It affords you a degree of confidence in your ability to survive into an unknown, uncertain future. The more of it you accumulate, the more certain you can be in your future fate. You buy insurance with it to guarantee that your family will continue to have more of it should something fatal happen to you. You borrow it based on yours, and others, speculation that you will continue to accumulate it in the future. You trade it for things you want. You trade it for things you need. You store it in banks, C.D.’s, Stocks, Bonds, Mutual Funds, Money Markets, and Insurance policies. Other people pay you to use your money. A bank will pay you interest (reverse rent) for your money so that they can loan it to strangers, charging them a rental fee larger than the rent they pay you.

And then, there’s the Government....

The Government charges you rent with an income tax, because you exist,. The Government does not need to assure you of anything. All it needs to do in a democracy is to promise you stuff. Free Stuff. It will make all sorts of promises, in the form of laws, that are designed to get you to part with some of your money (and remember, your money is the material proof that you exist). Once these “promises”, laws, are ratified by the Government, they must be funded with your money, your existence, so that the Government can exist even after you cease to exist. Faceless people who actually feel they own a piece of your very existence.

The government is not that mythical “village” that watches over us. They don’t trust you with your own children. They shame you when you want to home school them, or send them to private school, because you don’t trust them. And because they want to indoctrinate the youth, at an early age.

All government does is WATCH us. If you want to be left alone, anonymous, they suspect you, and brand you as a “loner”. If you want to have the means to protect your life and property, they discourage you. Contrary to our Declaration of Independence, it abhors any spirit of individualism. It hates people who fancy themselves as “independent”. It wants the people to depend on them. Its what gives it power. If you want to discover the Truth about government skullduggery, and how it will viciously guard its power “follow the money”.

It’s a jungle out there, and the animals in it are legions of smiling faces, all intent on convincing you that they know what’s best for you,,,but not you. You know little or nothing of the intricacies of life. Leave it to them. They are the professionals. Except that, one day, you may wake up to the stark reality of that jungle...and find that those “smiling faces” , themselves, were nothing more than dumb animals in a macabre, pretentious zoo.

...and no, Hillary, it does not “take a village” to raise a child. It takes PARENTS.

In the balance we get robbed and screwed without a kiss.  It is disgusting the way we underestimate the critical piece we are to this puzzle.  In fact we ARE the puzzle.  The powers that be decide where the pieces go and how they exist and exist is what they want for us, until very recently anyway. Until and unless the people recognize their power and use it productively this is what will be."
