YOU CUT VOTE

A few months ago Eric Cantor [R-Va. House Minority Whip] started You Cut. It is a web site that features 5 items of legislation for people to chose and vote on to be presented for a vote on the floor of the House of Representatives each week that Congress is in session.

The last was a proposal to collect payment of delinquent taxes owed by more than 97,000 federal employees ammounting to almost $1 BILLION!!!!!

Every Republican in the House voted FOR this measure and every Democrat AGAINST it!

Just last week Speaker Pelosi made a statement that made me [once again] want to SLAP her! She said "I am not going to borrow money to underwrite and subsidise tax cuts for the wealthy." REALLY?!?!? Especially since they think that some one is "WEALTHY" if they make $250,000. a year, including small businesses which is the reason the unemployment numbers are where they are and will continue to increase if the Bush tax cuts expire in Jan. 2011.

I find it fascinating that there are individuals in high government positions [Geithner & Rangle] who DELIBERATELY shirked their tax responsibility with no ill consequences but these same people continue to overburden the American People with confiscatory taxation with huge penalties, fines and prison if we decide to do the same.

The inmates are truly running the assylum and if this is not changed and soon I doubt we will ever be able to dig ourselves out of the pit these people have dug us into.

I suggest that you look at Mr Cantor's You Cut Vote site............it gives us a voice [a small one but better than being gagged] and some input into the "process".
