Even as President Obama takes credit for victory in Iraq, Rush Limbaugh pointed out today, August 2, 2010, that as a U.S. Senator, Obama actually “did everything he could to ensure defeat in Iraq.”
Obama said the Surge Strategy advocated by John McCain and others would never work, and after the Surge began, declared it was not working. He voted to NOT provide funding for American Troops in Iraq, which, if he had been successful, would have ensured defeat. Limbaugh is right – Obama did everything he could to ensure that Harry Reid’s declaration that “the war is lost” came true.
But American Soldiers were able to overcome the enemy on the battlefield, and the Democrats at home, to succeed in their mission. They overcame so much, and this nation is safer because of them – and in spite of Barack Obama and his sorry party.

DOES THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT HAVE ALL POWER?

There are moments when things happen that really crystallize the reality of our circumstances. Here is video of such a moment.
It occurred at a Town Hall Meeting of California Democrat Rep. Pete Stark, when a woman asked him a brilliant question on the constitutionality of the ObamaCare Law. Essentially, she asked Stark how the law could be when it makes Health Care a “right,” thereby compelling others to provide and or pay for Health Care for other people. She argued this is a form of “slavery,” in violation of the 13 Amendment. Then she got to the heart of her question. If the Federal Government can do this, “what can’t they do?”
Stark’s answer is astounding. He said, “The Federal Government can do most anything in this country.”
In essence, Stark was saying there really is not anything the Federal Government cannot do to you!
This crystallizes what we face in America. The Democrats and President Obama really believe the Federal Government is the end all, and be all of our nation. They don’t want any kind of limited Government. That’s why voters need to turn them out of office in 2010 and 2012

Democrats are scattering today in Georgia as President Obama comes to town.
Here is a video report on the reality that Georgia Democrats don’t want to be associated with or seen by the President. Democrat candidate for Governor Roy Barnes will be elsewhere in the state today, campaigning.
