We used to take the high road when the democrats cheated, now we need to play their game.

Dear Employees:

As the CEO of this organization, I have resigned myself to the fact that Barrack Obama

is our President and that our taxes and government fees will increase in a BIG way.

To compensate for these increases, our prices would have to increase by about 10%.

But, since we cannot increase our prices right now due to the dismal state

of the economy, we will have to lay off sixty of our employees instead.

This has really been bothering me since I believe we are family here

and I didn't know how to choose who would have to go.

So, this is what I did. I walked through our parking lots and

found sixty 'Obama' bumper stickers on our employees' cars and

have decided these folks will be the ones to let go.

I can't think of a more fair way to approach this problem.

They voted for change... I gave it to them.

I will see the rest of you at the annual company picnic.

The Twinkie Is Dead: Hostess to Close, 18K+ Layoffs Expected

No more Twinkies. No more Ho Ho’s. No more Wonder Bread. No more Ding Dongs.

Hostess is dead.

The company plans to go out of business, lay off its 18,500 workers, and sell its snack cake and bread brands. Hostess claims a nationwide strike crippled its ability to make and deliver its products.

“We deeply regret the necessity of today’s decision, but we do not have the financial resources to weather an extended nationwide strike,” said CEO Gregory Rayburn in a statement.

The Irving, Texas, company suspended bakery operations at all its factories and said its stores will remain open for several days to sell already-baked products.

The company had warned employees that it would file a motion in U.S. Bankruptcy Court to unwind its business and sell assets if plant operations didn’t return to normal levels by Thursday evening. The privately held company filed for Chapter 11 protection in January, its second trip through bankruptcy court in less than a decade.

“Many people have worked incredibly long and hard to keep this from happening, but now Hostess Brands has no other alternative than to begin the process of winding down and preparing for the sale of our iconic brands,” Rayburn said.

He added that all employees will eventually lose their jobs, “some sooner than others.”

“Unfortunately, because we are in bankruptcy, there are severe limits on the assistance the (company) can offer you at this time,” Rayburn wrote.

* On a personal note:

I was one of those thousands who rushed out to buy what I could of the Hostess brand of snacks.that were left on the grocery store shelves. Unfortunately thousands of other like minded people did too.

I only got 4 dozen Hostess cupcakes, 21 Hostess Twinkies, and only one lonely Ho Ho.There were TWO

Ho Hos left but this big over weight grungy lookin woman in green plaid tights with an Obama TEE shirt with a rip under one arm pit got her big fat ham hock on the other Ho Ho before I could wrestle it away from her.

These products, as you all know, have a "half life" of 500 years. In consumer language that means they'll stay "fresh" on your shelves for EVER!

I'm not a "Dooms Day Prepper" but I just don't see anything wrong with a cupboard full of Hostess goodies!

In fact this Thanksgiving I'm serving Hostess cupcakes for desert instead of my Mom's Pumpkin/ Raspberry/ Asparagus Jubliee
