I really am serious when I call myself an Independent Conservative activist. I belong to about eight patriotic political sites, have my own ning site: http://join-together.ning.com, and am in the process of helping to create another web utility with a small group of patriots. In addition to having our own blogs, it will act as a sort of MALL for other political web sites to link to in order to learn about our important political issues, choose between several letters concerning each issue, discover how to find their representatives and contact information, and then communicate with one or ALL of them through either or both email or fax--all FREE OF CHARGE. This is what I consider true activism--not just writing news blogs to a small group of people who already agree with you. We need to make a difference NOW! We have to stop the corruption, erosion of our freedoms and of the Constitution before it is too late.
This utility is still incomplete, because we are trying to find a Strategic Partner, like Foxnews.com or Politico.com, or even another patriotic organization that has talented internet techs and writers. I've been actively trying to interest several of them for about three months, as we don't want to wait until it is too late to make a difference, and with our small group it will take us another three or four months minimum. We want to inundate our representatives daily with hundreds of thousands of emails and faxes demanding that they represent US, not their political party/constitutents and special interests.
We already have a web site planned and started, as well as a logo and patent. We want the site:
http://www.itsyourissue.com, to be set up with multiple pages. After the home/index page where members can sign up/in, there is an issues link page, such as links to health care reform, cap and trade, card check, etc. When a member clicks on the link of the issue he/she is interested in, a new page with title links of articles about that issue--all written by professional writers--opens up. Members can click on and read any number of articles to learn several viewpoints about that issue, then click on the one that they agree with.
A new page with links to several interactive letters related to that viewpoint will open up, and they can check out any number of them until they find one they want to send to their own political representative(s) or local/national media. They can modify or add their own words plus their names and contact info to the letters, then go to the bottom of the letter to another 'Send' box. Clicking on that will open up their own personal page for representatives and media (according to the zip code provided when they signed up). The page will contain all their political representatives, from their local mayor or city council to the President, along with their titles and all their contact information. Their email url and fax number will be highlighted next to their names along with a box to check under the Header 'Send', and the member can click on one or even up to all of their representatives either or both on the email and fax boxes to send the letter. If they want the letter to go to the media, they can then hit the back arrow and click on the email/fax addresses of the media they want the letter to go to.
The political web sites that link to our utility would also be able to use these pages. This is how all citizens would have access to the same FREE communications. The cost of running the utility site will be covered by adding banner ads at the top or bottom of the pages of issues and articles, and will run from their own local businesses up to and including national organizations.
Another thing I want to do is sign up as a Precinct Captain in my local community so that I can help ensure that patriotic people will run for office in the next election. There are several websites that have already made lists of voting records/special interests of incumbents and also the patriotic actions of new people that are interested in running. These sites can help round up people who can contribute to the campaigns of the best people so that we can change the face of our Congress and Senate in 2010.
