Tonight, Barry’s State of the Union Seems More Vapid Than Ever…

I intended to refrain from blogging until next week, but now feel compelled to comment on the Egyptian crisis- especially as it relates to the United States.

First, I thought that President Obama’s brief statement this evening displayed his usual arrogance and hypocrisy. Should Barry himself be confronted with such a rebellious challenge to his authority, you can bet it would be met with swift and excessive force- compounded by shutting down all social networking via the internet, possibly even disrupting cell communication to further hamper government opposition. Don’t think for a minute that it can’t happen here in America- as our federal government fails to keep pace with the increasing dissatisfaction and demands of the American people. Moreover, I found Barry’s reference to free speech particularly hypocritical. 

Second, should the fall of the Egyptian government cause a significant disruption of Saudi oil being shipped through the Suez Canal, oil prices will skyrocket and could bring the faltering American economy to its knees.

Third, although the Islamic Brotherhood has been portrayed in the media as a minor part of the present Egyptian rebellion, it occurs to me that militant Islam has the most to gain if President Hosni Mubarak and/or his government falls. Prior to our invasion of Iraq, Iran managed a significant presence there to confront US forces. In the present Egyptian chaos, I would bet Iranian revolutionaries are streaming into Egypt to take advantage of a bad situation, just as they have in both Iraq and Afghanistan.

Fourth, it is unlikely that any concessions by Mubarak will save his presidency- and the threat of denying US foreign aid to Egypt will likely have no effect whatsoever. Hosni’s credibility after nearly thirty years as a dictator is over.   

Fifth, it is curious that Obama has tried to appear so Presidential in the case of Egypt- when he stood by as revolutionaries in Iran were slaughtered in the streets- when he opposed the removal of a socialist dictator in Honduras- and when he's continued to play footsy with Venezuela’s communist Hugo Chavez.  

Sixth, this is not the fall of the Berlin Wall. It is one form of tyranny about to likely be replaced by another- as the extremist Islamic revolution gains another foothold in the middle east.

Seventh, the United States is definitely losing clout in the international arena- diminished US power being diametrically opposed to our remarkable influence abroad at the height of the Reagan years. Hillary’s voice is ever so hollow.  

Eighth, the best we can hope for is a military coup reasonably sympathetic to human rights- and that they will ultimately yield control to a moderate interim government. Unfortunately, that’s an unlikely scenario.

Ninth, and above all else, I fear the jihadist influence on the streets of Cairo- no matter how justified the Egyptian rebels may be. This could be a big Iranian payday- and an unmitigated economic disaster for the United States.

Tenth, once again we have spent billions of dollars propping up a repressive dictator- only to see our subsidized tyrant likely be replaced by greater tyranny.

Lastly, I can’t help wondering if the globalists have a dog in this race. The recent political unrest in Greece, England, Ireland and Tunisia, for example, indicates a substantial trend toward deterioration of foreign governments that strengthens the position of the international banking cartel.

What should America do? 

For starters, prepare to release a substantial portion of our strategic oil reserves- and immediately begin drilling for oil and natural gas in ANWR.

Second, cease all foreign aid to Egypt- unless military leadership emerges which is sympathetic to human rights and a moderate interim government.

Third, tell President Mubarak to immediately surrender his presidential authority to the Egyptian military in hope that jihadist-inspired bloodshed will be avoided- not that Hosni will listen to us. However, it does appear that the Egyptian people have more faith in their military than Egyptian police.

Fourth, the new Republican majority in the House must recognize the international trend toward chaos- a trend largely fueled by economic instability, which in turn has been fomented by the same brand of fiscal irresponsibility demonstrated by the Obama administration.

And finally, America must mend her tax and spend ways before widespread rebellion and chaos, fueled by anger, poverty and hunger, become our worst nightmare. The acrid Egyptian smoke you smell might well be headed our way- and tonight, Barry’s State of the Union message seems more vapid than ever.

Excellent of course! Yes, I think we are headed for a very difficult time now.  The riots form all the countries have been over food and gas prices mostly. Our government is not going to budge in drilling as a matter of fact they want to bring America down on it's knees and they are well on the way. Soon we will be a banana republic with out the bananas! Sad that most people are just so into themselves they can't see, soon they will have no choce it will effect them and all of the US as they have planned, stupidly is what got him elected and it scares me what they are doing to the young in schools today. Better stock up and hunker down, it is going to be a very bad ride for awhile.
