Well, the GOP primary is heating up- and Palin and Christie still ain’t runnin’ this time around. So who’s my choice to crush the Kenyan prince? Last night’s GOP debate has weighed heavily on my mind.
I really tried to get excited over Michele Bachmann, but now I’m ready to jump off her rickety bandwagon. I see less and less Presidential fire in her Minnesota gut- and yes, she’s slipping further behind Perry and Romney. However, there’s a little more- the proverbial last straw.
In yesterday’s Deseret News was an interesting story about Bob Merritt, Michele’s pastor at the Eagle Brooks Church in Lino Lakes, Minnesota. I listened carefully to Merritt’s anti-Mormon rant from back in July of 2007 and wasn’t impressed. He basically called my religion “untrue.” Dumb political move on your part, Michele. You’ve got yer own Reverend Jeremiah Wright.
I was pleased to see Rick Perry, at least in my estimation, go down in flames last night. I believe Rick is using the same brand of phony mantra that Barry Obama used in 2008- only the tone of Rick’s deceptive incantation is ostensibly conservative…
It’s no secret I’ve no use for Rick Perry! I’d take Mitt Romney over the smiling Texas darling of big pharma any day. And aside from my conservative objections to Romney, I do genuinely like the guy. Perry, however, makes me ill. I think he’s just plain dangerous.
So who’s left? Guess I’m back to Ron Paul- although I did back Allen West for a while. (And Allen still ain’t runnin’ either.)
Maybe backing Ron is my way of saying I don’t like ANY of the candidates all that much. In any case, I thought Ron chewed up Rick pretty good last night- and may have even won the entire debate- depending on whom you ask.
But here’s my lamestream media take on Ron Paul. I think the liberal pundits will give Ron a pass for now- maybe even try to make him look good. But if he manages to snag the GOP nomination, they will attack him mercilessly with the hope of having the Kenyan imposter around for another four years.
In that regard, I really can’t understand the lamestream media’s devotion to Barry Obama. Maybe these liberal idiots (like those two grotesque moderators last night) just can’t bring themselves to admit they were duped. Or maybe the prospect of covering Obama’s 2013 impeachment proceedings sends a thrill up their legs…
Who looked most Presidential last night? I suppose that would be Gingrich. Chiding the liberal moderators for inciting a GOP food-fight was a nice touch, Newt! I just don’t trust ya, buddy.
Jon Huntsman had that Presidential look as well- but I don’t trust him either. Sorry, Jon.
And yes, Romney looked pretty good in the Presidential department- and I expect Mitt will be back on top of the GOP heap after Rick Perry’s ashes have been hastily dispersed in the blogosphere.
The least Presidential? Well, both Herman Cain and Rick Santorum get my vote- although I thought both men did fairly well for themselves. And no sense beating dead horses. Both men are just taking up “bully pulpit” space…
Whoever wins the GOP nod, it sure seems Barry Obama keeps trying his best to help his eventual opponent. The Libya fiasco? “Fast and Furious?” His Uncle Omar and half-brother Abongo each have a valid SSN?
In conclusion, I was generally encouraged by last night’s debate- but not one GOP candidate left me with increased optimism for America’s future. We remain on the brink of another great depression. The housing market is still in the tank. So’s the stock market. So’s the US Dollar (AKA the fiat Federal Reserve Note). US jobs are still scarce, and massive inflation looms over the horizon. Our military is still hopelessly mired in Afghanistan- and the Kenyan imposter can’t seem to find enough places to spill America’s best blood. And that’s just off the top of my head.
Is our southern border still protected with the equivalent of cheesecloth? Is Eric Holder still dispensing the most perverted US justice ever? The TSA still groping? Is that treasonous crackhead still in the White House?
