Here is a light-hearted comedy starring one of America's favorite sons, Elvis.

 Underlying the seemingly superficial, there is a profound message that upholds the Pioneering Spirit that made this country great. Listen to the character, "Pop", for a sound lesson on Freedom and Liberty, the old fashioned way, and the triumph of good over evil.

 Circa 1961, this movie was based on the best-selling novel PIONEER GO HOME by Richard Powell. It was filmed before School Prayer was banned, Abortion rights, Anti-military protests, Gay rights and a littany of other left-wing agenda items, and captures the essential attitudes of most Americans of that era.

 Sadly, the one thing missing from this movie is the presence of Black Americans, whose aspirations and dreams of Freedom would shortly succeed in the Civil Rights Movement led by another great american, Dr. Martin Luther King. That aside, this movie personifies the American Spirit, whether or not you are white or black. We all pledge our allegeance to One Flag, under God. ENJOY!!
