Judge Andrew Napolitano has it exactly right! This is the best analysis and commentary I’ve heard yet on the Gulf crisis. Whatever BP’s culpability, it is critical to realize that it was the Obama administration that INSISTED drilling take place in deepwater- as opposed Louisiana’s desire that the drilling rigs operate in relatively shallow water where it’s much easier to fix a problem. Moreover, it’s the Obama administration who’s been stonewalling the cleanup- despite Barry’s detached hypocritical rhetoric to the contrary- and his administration is using this crisis to promote its warped political agenda…
So really- whose fault is this oily mess? Take off the blinders, Dobbin! It’s Barry Hussein Obama’s fault! He wanted a full blown crisis to push Cap and Tax- and now’s he’s got one. Maybe King Rat didn’t want a crisis quite this big- but the same demented brainiacs who brought you Government Motors and Obama Care have now placed the entire biosphere at risk!
How many lies from Obama will the American people endure before they’ve had enough? As I predicted, even the liberal press is beginning to cry foul. You can’t sell many newspapers when the entire country is devastated. Truth be told, the MSM should have gotten the message during California’s Central Valley farming debacle…
And for you errant souls who think you’re safe because you live far from the Gulf, this disaster will be coming soon to a neighborhood near you- in the form of fewer jobs, higher prices and more government regulation- just as Arizona’s illegal immigration problems now permeate every state in the union.
A strong federal government is almost always inferior to efficient state government- especially when it comes to facilitating the will and welfare of the people. State government is likewise inferior to efficient county government- and county government inferior to efficient municipal government. And finally, municipal government is almost always inferior to an efficient self-governing functioning family- which is the basic unit of our society.
The problem in a nutshell is that the federal government is sticking it’s ugly nose into every facet of our existence- yet failing to accomplish the basic tasks for which it was created- like protecting our borders. Instead of government of the people, by the people and for the people- we have a tyrannical federal government pandering to special interests- where the inalienable rights of a nation are now subservient to the privileges of a few.
And where is this all going? The New World Order! An Orwellian nirvana! The ultimate Animal Farm!
At the rate which Obama is dismantling every American wonder that miraculously still works, we’ll be fortunate to hold the November elections. If we do, however, I fully expect that the American people will wrest control of both the House and Senate from those evil demons now holding the balance of legislative power.
As for the executive branch, my best guess is that Barry will be removed from office during the summer of 2011. The combination of his failed presidency and Constitution ineligibility are rapidly coming to a head like a bulbous boil.
How would I stop the oil leak? A nuke might irreparably fracture the seabed. Conventional capping can’t contend with the intense pressure of the oil and gas. Relief wells take too long to drill.
Assuming that oil pipe goes straight down, I’d drop a few fifteen-foot solid steel cylinders into the abyss to slow down the flow of crude- one at a time at twenty minute intervals- the diameter of the heavy cylinders being about three inches less than the diameter of the pipe. Then about 2000 feet below the seabed, I’d detonate a charge sufficient to destroy a hundred feet of pipe. Anyone have a better idea? Bet there’s plenty of ’em out there!
The point is that we don’t hear ANY real suggestions from the White House or Congress. They simply play the Blame Game as the crisis worsens! Surely there’s SOMETHING that will work! Trying absolutely nothing is the best way to guarantee disaster- like Obama saying “No thanks” to the Netherlands…
The disaster in the Gulf is a direct result of our federal government’s awful mismanagement of offshore drilling operations- whatever British Petroleum may have done wrong. Sending the drilling rigs to deepwater was like telling a California teenager to learn to drive on the LA Freeway before the poor kid’s comfortable negotiating the back roads- and then bellyaching when he crashes!
This week we’ve seen both the White House and Congress at their absolute whining worst- and when the liberal press starts to wiss and moan, you know we really DO have a problem! King Rat is a nitpicking nitwit who couldn’t get into a vintage New York City pay toilet with a pocket full of dimes- unless he crawled underneath the door. And then he’d probably crawl back out…
