A profound message from Loyal Member, Kate Ball

Hey, 'Uncle Sam'.

Thank you...this has been a difficult past few weeks for me.

The 'election' was both shocking and terribly disappointing.....how, on Earth, could "my fellow Americans" have reelccted a man who so despises America and our way of life??? What was I 'missing'....I married at the age of 17, worked as a 'nanny' for five children, ages 7 to 2, helped my husband with his papers, gave birth to our beautiful baby girl [thus having 6 kids, ages newborn to seven]........ [because I was just 17, can you imagine the 'LOOKS" we got???]

He and I have lived the "AMERICAN DREAM".......we worked hard, while he was in college, I was finishing High School [with honors] and going on to nursing school [also with honors].....He began his carreer with one of the [then] big EIGHT accounting firms.

I graduated , passed my boards, he studied for and passed the CPA Exam and our lives changed, grew and became the 'thing' that all of us aspire to.

He was made a partner in [then a record] nine years. We both served on various charitable and arts 'boards' in our community....and we gave back to that community in every way we could.
We raised two beautiful children....our beautiful daughter, now the mother of four and incredible son, father of two. They are raising our grandkids to be good, solid citizens.....people who love this land we live in as well as the way of life it offers....IF THEY ARE WILLING TI PUT FORTH AN EFFORT!!!!!!!

When did "We the People" become a nation of "WE the NEEDY"??? Expecxting the "GOVERNMENT" to provide for our every need?

Why don't "We the people" understand that a government 'big enough' to 'give 'us everything is also a government that is 'big enough to take it all away"??????

I've also had my best Equine Friend have an injury that might have been terrible....it has turned out not to be but it has taught me to treasure those things we value the most. It has taught me that my words and opinions mean nothing to anyone but 'me'...that I need to focus on those things and people who are closest to me. It is very easy to pound out my opinion on my computer but although that might well be a sort of release is accomoplishes nothing.

My primary responsibility is to those who are closest to me...those who KNOW and TRUST me because I CAN teach them and thus make a difference.....

"All politics are LOCAL" is a true statement but that does not mean our community, town, or state,,,,it has to start with family......who better to teach true history than a parent or grand parent?

"Charity begins at home"??????? So does knowledge.....let's start teaching our kids and grandkids the truth....they will need it and we can provide it.
