Thank yo to all the people in D9 who supported John Quinones

I have a friend who was working for an opposing candidate in the D9 primary. He just called saying he just met John Quinones and “WOW what a wonderful nice man who is on the ball and will be going places. John doesn’t hold any grudges and after talking to him, we need John in office working for us.”

The people of D9 have lost a great man when they didn’t vote for John Quinones. He was truly a wonderful person who treated my family with respect and dignity. My husband and I walked over 400 houses and talked to people for a long time at each house and what the Tea Party never bothered to learn is that many, many people told us stories of how they were touched and personally helped by John -and it wasn’t political and it was people of every race. John was NOT a political insider and there wasn’t any of the political machine or OCREC helping his campaign – I was there and the Tea Party’s anger and distrust never let them look for the truth. John was a man who would have listened to all sides of an issue as he listened to my husband, son and I. And I am so proud to have chosen the honorable candidate – he refused to run a nasty campaign because the young volunteers and his own children were watching and learning from his reactions. And my son walked in hesitantly to help make calls this last week because he has such a distrust and anger for politicians and he left believing that there are good people out there in the world and there is at least one politician who treats people as equals and as a fellow man not a vote.

  And I would like to thank John, his wife and his children for touching my family’s life – I now have new friends who are the real deal. And I would like to thank John again for putting a smile back on my face, taking away the anger of the past 3 years, and for renewing my faith in the younger generation as I worked beside my son and 3 of the most wonderful polite kids in their early 20’s who made over 2,000 calls on Monday and 1000 calls on election day plus walked thousands of houses, etc for a man they believed in. And thank you to all of the people in Precinct 411 who saw the truth of a good man and understood the lies of Alan Grayson – we beat Todd Long by 4 votes in our precinct!!!! Also thank you to all of the people who listened when we walked up to your door and gave us water and cared about us being out in the heat. And thank you to all of the people who told me jokes or gave me encouragement on the phone even though you were being bombarded with phone calls. We weren’t losers on Tuesday – we were winners!!!!!!
