Comment by Kathryn Ball on November 16, 2010 at 11:17pm: Rangel not only committed 'Ethics Violations", he violated tax laws, the very laws he wrote so he actually has NO excuse. Regardless of the punishment levied by the House, he needs to go up on Federal Tax evasion charges and face prison as well as siezure of property just as ANY citizen who breaks the tax laws. It also sounds like there may be some racqueteering charges available.
It is high time these thugs are brought to justice. Those who WRITE the laws must be held to the HIGHEST standard of obeying those laws!
