The security infrastructure of our government does NOT give public servants like Petraeus the necessary privacy to carry-on an affair without it being known. The affair was known about all along.

Obama and the liberal progressive democrat machine kept the Petraeus revelations about Benghazi secret until after the election. That was job one.

The next job of the Obama liberal progressive democrat machine was to eject Petraeus in a way that allowed the media to provide a smoke screen for Obama at the same time curry public favor for a war hero like Petraeus.

Allowing Petraeus to resign accomplished both.

Firing Petraeus MIGHT have created a public backlash.

The "MACHINE" is hard to beat.

Romney has just found THAT out.
