Comment by Kathryn Ball on November 1, 2009 at 12:20am: I started listening to Rush in 1990. I was painting my living room and found him on a local AM station. I was drawn in, first by his sense of humor ['FEMINAZIS'] but was then struck that here was someone who thought as I did. Someone who believed in the capability of PEOPLE to become whatever they dreamed they could be.
I've continued to listen through Bush 41, Clinton [and wasn't THAT fun????], Bush 43 and now this, whatever 'THIS' is.
One of the most appealing things about Rush has always been his optisim. his beliefe in the ability of Americans to continue to live their lives, do their jobs, raise their families using the basic principles laid down by our Founders. One of the best programs he ever did was to have people who had 'failed', been fired, been 'down and out' call in and share their experiences with his audience. Without exception, the callers told stories of how they had actually been liberated to follow their dreams and, in most cases, had started new, successful businesses. Their lives were incredibly happy and successful.
That is 'who we ARE'.
Or at least who we USED to be.
Now, when I listen to Rush, I can't help but to hear an edge to his voice which had never been there before. Again, like me, he is very concerned for this country that he loves dearly.
He has built an empire and was the pioneer for Talk Radio. His success is tremendous [as it should be]. He has also been a target and a hated enemy of the left. The 'left' has done everything possible to ruin this true patriot, to shut him up so they are able to hide behind an increasingly impotent media.
Rush Limbaugh remains a beacon to conservatives across these 'Fruited Plains'. He gives us daily gifts and encourages the 'Silent Majority' to find our voices and to be heard above the 'white noise' that the left hopes will cover their actions.

Comment by Linda Maddox on October 31, 2009 at 11:17pm: I say, "Where are the jobs", what a joke. The only jobs they created took a job from us! We also have to pay all that money back. He is so right Obama is destroying our economy, on purpose! He wants us all to depend on the Government! He wants to destroy the free market.

I love listening to Rush, I drive around in my car to listen to him. He knows what is going on, he is right on.
