Comment by PHILIP SCHNEIDER on January 25, 2010 at 6:06pm: Peggy Noonan is correct about the attempted comparison between Obama and Reagan . . . . there isn't ANYWAY to compare the two.
Start with the difference between the parties, how do you compare their approach to campaigning? Obama lied about everything he said he was going to do, Reagan DID everything he said he was going to do. The comparison has to stop right there, no use going any farther.
With Obama everything that's been done under his banner and with instructions from his huge administrative political (pay-off) staff of czars and cabinet appointees then through the democrat super majority in both houses of congress, has been behind closed doors and after midnight on Fridays.
Reagan had no filibuster-proof congress. He actually fought the good fight with HIS congress.
C'mon let's get real, be honest eh?

We've already been notifying anybody who'll listen that this is a special year in a lot of ways and the Obama administration has faltered and made the liberals and secular progressives leaderless. In addition several special elections had surprise endings with the democrat candidates getting soundly defeated. Scott Brown actually won the MASSACHUSETTS race for senate and will fill the seat formerly held for 40 years by that #%^%$86 Ted Kennedy. The recent supreme court decision which removed the shackles from corporations will definitely have an impact on the coming elections and finally the TEA PARTY movement continues to stir the melting pot of the collective minds of the middle class mainstream into constitutionally driven action against the politics of greed and consolidation of power in Washington.
This is a big deal and Rush recognizes it. He's never seen anything like this in his 20 plus years in commentary. He's excited, we're excited.
