Apparently the Alaska State Fair is an organization which attempts to be very private while spending public money. The man who was mistreated was waving a sign- not a gun. If he did in fact have a gun, he made no attempt to use it.

I checked this out and if the fair is on private property and is run by a non-profit and spells out rules in a Vendor Handbook and posts a sign that says no guns are allowed (the guy did have a gun), then they were within their rights to have him removed. Did they have to do it in the way that it was done? Of course not. But this is a private property right more than a free speech right.

It's possible, of course, that this article is not true and that the MSM is covering, but I don't think that we should jump in one way or the other until we know for sure.
