JESUS' BIRTH

The birth of Jesus is celebrated because without His coming into the world, there would be no hope for mankind to escape the penalty of our own sin. But Jesus came to do it for us out of His great love and mercy.

Whether a person is a believer in Jesus Christ or not, it is undeniable that Jesus really is the "Reason for the Season." His birth was the turning point in human history, and the beginning of the greatest Gift ever given - the Gift of eternal life.

Comment by Kathryn Ball on December 27, 2009 at 12:28pm: He is the Way, the Truth and the Light. Although of humble birth He is the King of all kings, because of that humble birth he was also accessable by the poor and everyone inbetween.

He was a great Teacher and performed many miracles. The lawless and corrupt feared Him and to many He was not the Messiah but the greatest prophet of all.

The people of that day had none of the communication we have today yet His message was spread the world over.

Do you think we will recognize Him when He comes again? I truly pray that we will.

God bless all of you here as we ready ourselves for a battle which is sure to come and that, with God's grace we will win.
