Comment by Annette Akerman on July 18, 2011 at 7:50am: I think it is very clear that people nationwide do not want taxes raised, nor do we want spending to be increased; if anything, we should be looking at lowering the debt ceiling. Further it is clear that our dictator-in-chief wants to have an open purse with no strings attached so he can literally run us into the ground. Not that he hasn't done is best so far to do just that - however I also see something much more sinister coming out of this. I see a deliberate move on his part to stall the government so we cannot progress.

We have yet to see even the first positive move for the betterment of this country coming from the oval office. That begs the question what is the left hand doing while he holds up his right hand saying, "Nothing up my sleeve."??? We do have a usurper and traitor in the office of president, and we cannot forget that! To do so, is to do so to our peril.
