( IF ) our government has NOT already been taken over and has it's own citizens as targets,

what then would a rational explanation be for congress to want legislation that gives a president the power to call our national home land a war zone (like stated by Republican senator Lindsay Graham) and declare that a state of emergency exists and declares full military control???

I don't want a president to have that kind of option. Any plan to militarize this country and consider WE the People as enemy combatants, I want the full congress involved before any action can be taken by the president.

I don't want another Lincoln precedent set where habeas  corpus gets suspended or something equally anti-American.

If there IS no real pressing reason for writing into law a way to militarize this government and this type of legislation continues to pass through our congress, then the only other reason I can think of is that our government has tipped over and is no longer a functioning institution. That is more likely what exists today. Our congress and Obama are no where near where We the People are. They listen not.

We're hoping for the next election to bring about more control over Washington and to return our nation to the principles of the U. S. Constitution. Is it now too late? Have we missed our chance?

I replayed the video above and Alex Jones does much emoting but precious little educating. It would have been a greater service to us had he studiously and disspassionately cited chapter and verse of S 1867 to clearly demonstate that his emoting was totally justified. I dont' appreciate it at all. Not at all helpful.

I'm confused. I thought I read the bill. Title X, Sec 1032(b) specifically states that US Citizens and Legal Permanent Residents are exempted from the military detention requirement. Either I can't read, or wording elsewhere in the bill invalidates Sec 1032. Anyone know where in the bill it specifically negates the 1032 exemption?

Sandra, you're right. If the 1032 exemption is somewhere cleverly negated within the same bill, then active resistance is not only necessary, it is inevitable.
