INFECTIONS = 90,000 people annually in USA /hospital-acquired infections kill approx. more than diabetes or influenza/pneumonia.

AIR POLLUTION = 70,000 lives annually.

AUTO ACCIDENT = 40,000 traffic fatalities per year

STANDARD FLU = 36,171 flu-related deaths occurred per year

ALCOHOLISM = 36,000 approx per year

22,073 alcohol-induced deaths, excluding accidents and homicides:

SUICIDE = 33,300 deaths from suicide in the US.
