Here is video from about a week ago of a South Carolina reporter going to the home of Democrat U.S. Senate Candidate Alvin Greene to inquire about whether he would stay in the U.S. Senate race in light of his being indicted for showing obscene photos to a college co-ed. What happens in the video shows just how pathetic the situation is.
Greene briefly came to the door and said he is staying in the race against GOP incumbent Jim DeMint, and then asked the reporter to go. Greene’s brother then came out and while talking to the reporter, you can hear the Democrat U.S. Senate nominee howling and screaming “Noooooo” and “Gooooooo” from inside the house.
This whole episode should cause Democrats to ask, “How did someone like Alvin Greene ever win our nomination for such a high office?” It is just unimaginable that an informed electorate would nominate Greene. But therein lies the problem. Clearly, those who voted for Greene did so for some other reason than his qualifications for the office. Their decision is now on full display, as Greene embarrasses the Democratic Party on a day-by-day basis.
The fact he is their nominee reveals just how dangerous it is when uninformed or unconcerned voters put people in office who have no business being there. In this case, thankfully, there is no way Greene will get beyond being nominated. What is frightening is to realize that the very voters who nominated Alvin Greene, are in large part, the same voters across the country who elected Barack Obama to the Presidency.
