and the passion for to live

I owned the moon, the summer breeze,

the twilights, and the dawns

...and rivers flowing to faraway seas

Then came a time and you were gone

...you were gone, and gone away

was autumn's blazing sun

that brightened every stormy day

So love, I stand alone, as one...

the one who's lost in memories

of summer days gone by

of gentle rain on lilac trees

and autumn leaves that, by and by,

must wither,

fall...
