When We The People Fear Our Government, That’s Tyranny!

Not much I can add to my political writings at this point, except that watching the Obama administration in catastrophic free-fall gives me considerable vindication and satisfaction. Nevertheless, witnessing our continuing Constitutional crisis leaves me little cause to celebrate.

 

In regard to the unfolding IRS debacle, I now admit my fear of that powerful and ruthless entity, combined with a pervasive fear of what other rogue elements our federal government might do to me or my family, has been the primary reason for my recent silence.

 

In the late summer and early fall of 2011 as I worked on my personal computer in Ocean City, I had good reason to believe someone in cyberspace was watching over my shoulder. Nevertheless, I was determined to continue my conservative blogging until after the 2012 Presidential election. During that period, I was also in the process of buying a second home in Utah- and still “under house arrest” as the primary caregiver for my elderly mother, all my real estate documentation had to be sent via computer from New Jersey. Numerous times whenever I attempted to post a blog or transmit critical documents, my computer would mysteriously go blank. I even tried using another computer, but again some unseen hand would shut me down with perfect timing. Was all this simply my “conspiracy-theory” imagination? In light of recent IRS revelations, I think not- and many nights since that corrupt Presidential election, I've slept with a loaded gun.

 

May God Almighty preserve our Union- and I’ll close with a familiar warning: “When our federal government fears the people, we enjoy the blessings of liberty- but when the people fear the government, we have only cruel and unrestrained tyranny.”
