You think there is nowhere to cut the Federal Budget? That’s what some on the Left seem to think.
Above is video of an ad that ran in New York in February that is designed to tell people what they should and should not drink. It’s part of an anti-sugar, anti-obesity campaign – one of the subjects dear to the heart of our First Lady. Millions of dollars were allocated from the Department of Health & Human Services to help pay for it.
It is NOT the job of the Federal Government to tell Americans what to eat and drink. If the Federal Government would focus on the very limited role given to it by the U.S. Constitution, it would not be difficult to balance the budget.




DRILLING IS UNPLEASANT...AT THE DENTIST, NOT ALASKA

Here is video of Secretary of the Interior Ken Salazar being asked why the Obama Administration does not support drilling for oil in the Artic National Wildlife Refuge (ANWR) as a way to move America to Energy independence – particularly in light of the rising price of gasoline.
Salazar’s response was ridiculous. Instead of trying justify what he knows is not justifiable, he just said:
“We don’t believe that you need to drill everywhere, and we don’t believe that the “Drill, baby, Drill” program is the way that’s going to get us to the energy independence that we need for America or that will power our economy. . . . “
Well, it’s clear what you are doing is not making us independent! Just because you say it, does not make it so. It is crazy that we have tied our own hands and prevented our nation from using some of the vast resources we have all over America and offshore as well. We do not have to be hostage to the whims of the Middle East. It’s time for a sane energy policy that drills here, drills now, and that uses solar, wind, and nuclear power as well. It will take a new President and a Republican Congress to get that done.
