We CAN Stop the Nonsense of Obama's Progressive Agenda

We CAN stop Obama and his destruction of America:

If we keep up the pressure on the Blue Dog Democrats, this will NOT happen.

If we keep up the pressure on the gang of six in the Congress (the six Republicans who voted FOR Cap & Trade....amazing, ain't it?), this will NOT happen.

If we continue to attend tea parties, wear our T-shirts, talk with everyone we can and educate folks about what's going on, this will NOT happen.

If we boycott those companies who are giving to ACORN, this will NOT happen.

If we do our best to stop Card Check, the SEIU will go broke and this will NOT happen.

We have been doing all these things and must keep up the pressure, and we WILL SUCCEED!

We have met folks on the street and in doctors' offices and elsewhere, and those folks, known fleetingly, have called to make further contact.... Speak up, talk to anyone and everyone... WE WILL PREVAIL

When we wear our anti-big government T-shirts, folks ask us what we think....let them know what we think!

Let's keep our nose to the grindstone and follow the news (the real news) carefully to see if something is slipping into legislation that's another appalling example of the power grab of the Federal government. And don't let ANY politician off the hook...no matter how nice, no matter if he or she is from your party affiliation...the corruption goes deep and they all want to keep their jobs and believe that getting pork for their districts is the way to do it (a la the rogue six Republicans in the House of Representatives). Even if you're not from their state, CALL....let them know you're a pissed off taxpayer!

Ely, you are oh, so correct! I have a number of pals who lean left and who have become disenchanted with Obama as their leader. They are awakening from their Democratic stupor to realize that this president is NOT a Democrat (and certainly not a Republican...or, more to the point, what being a Republican once stood for) but is, instead, a radical Progressive. And they're NOT HAPPY now.....

Even though we as a vociferous group may be a mite small at the present time, we do have a loud voice and we are being covered by some in the media, and we are not being ignored. We COUNT and our beliefs COUNT, and every day more and more are joining us in our dissent. This is a dissent born from a general distrust of local, state, and federal government which has been felt for so many years and now, thanks to the election of one man, we are standing up and saying: ENOUGH IS ENOUGH. We will NOT go down this road....

Tom - that is true, we need to make it clear to politicians that if they vote according to what their constituents want, the better chance they have of being reelected. What a novel idea! Apparently politicians have lost sight of why they are elected, going so far as saying they know what's best despite the outcries of the people they represent. However, after this debacle I'm wondering if there are a few of them out there that might plan to not run again!

In addition to what you said above, I believe in order to combat what is happening now we also need to have a strong presence in the education system, counteracting the liberal agenda in our textbooks (as the Fox special tonight exposed), and teach our children not only the principles of what our FOUNDING FATHERS bestowed upon us with the guidance of our Creator (and yes it is ACCEPTABLE and ENCOURAGED to call them FOUNDING FATHERS and nothing less than this!) but also to encourage our children to put those principles into action with how they conduct themselves in their immediate lives and in their future adult lives.

Indoctrination comes at our children at all angles. It's like fighting the War on Terror (yes I’m going to keep calling it that!) in that it takes a great effort every day to prevent disasters, but it takes just one incident to be a disaster. The left wing is relentless in their efforts to bring forth the demise of what we dearly hold close to our hearts! They use the education system as a conduit to go directly to what they wish to perceive as the future generation of Progressives. I will do everything in my power to “indoctrinate” my children at home, against the left wing agenda, and tell my children to always question what they hear and read!

As a young student, I did not realize I was a victim of the liberal, left wing insidious methods of brainwashing in schools until I became an adult. I am thankful, awestruck, and touched with humility every day when I realize that I've come out of a cocoon, out of a place where my reasoning mind lay dormant for these many years before I could see what I now feel is so deeply embedded in my gut -- that liberalism is just so completely wrong!

Obama's speech to children next week is not so much what he will say, but the pretense under which he will insert himself into an institution that is technically not supposed to be political but is shamelessly and blatantly POLITICAL! It's not so much the scheduled speech as it is the expectation by the left wing that the indoctrination will be reinforced by class discussion on how to help the President (INDOCTRINATION!), the teacher's potential willingness as an Obama supporter to help push his agenda by offering up the suggested topics to incorporate into their curriculum (INDOCTRINATION!), and the free reign teachers all across the country will feel they have to give biased answers to the maleable minds of our children on that day. It’s just not their place!

One more thing -- Indoctrination is not always obvious! I feel that simply by allowing him to speak to our children, at a time when this administration is nothing but one disaster out-scooping the most recent disaster, a man who has held position nothing short of celebrity status, who is on TV and cable almost half the days he's been in office, MEANS SOMETHING MORE than just a President talking to the kids. He is controversial whether or not this administration wants to admit it. Yet again, this speech is just another example that shows his love of being on the campaign trail in front of adoring crowds. Just the plain sight of him, I believe, is the left wing’s attempt at making subconscious associations that will be lodged in students’ sponge-like minds so that when they continue to grow and learn, they will always associate this President as “likeable” and “cool”; therefore, I will be JUST LIKE HIM! It only takes one felt tip pen to fill in a small, innocuous-looking box on a ballot that can ultimately result in the demise of a country. His speech is nothing more than a connotation of the intended message: liberal good, conservative bad! Counting down the days until election day 2012. That’s a party I am so looking forward to being a part of!

My first goal would be to figure a way to enlighten the Democrats in my life that I really care about. How do we convince them that we really are on the same team? That is we both are fighting this new movement called “Progressives”, and that most of our government today fits this new group. Even when I show them a Youtube of Hillary when she said this in a primary debate; “I’m not a Democrat I am a modern progressive that is in the Democratic Party”. Obama and his team also fit in to this group too. Why is that so hard to understand? We all must know someone who we care about that is Democratic, but fails to understand today’s political dangers. I personally believe getting them on board is the quickest road to victory. If not, we will have to go it alone, and save them even if they don’t know it, for we all know we will never give in to socialism. I actually wish we could go back to the good old days of Democrats friendly debating Republicans.
