The Two Left Coasts (East Coast & West Coast) Meet and Agree! Update on California's Central Valley

Went to Peter's 50th high school reunion Saturday, 10/17, and met a number of his former colleagues at school, one of whom is from California. We started discussing the current state of events in this country and found that we are like-minded conservatives who are just sick about what's happening. It was amazing to me (although it shouldn't have been, really) and very heart-warming at the same time. This fellow had some interesting things to say about California's governor, the Terminator, and was amazed that in the last throes of his governorship he's not calling out the names of those in Sacramento who are "doing the dirty" for the people of the State of California. Schwarzenegger no longer needs any political capital, so what's his problem? Alas, he is not as much of a "terminator" as one would have liked as he was never able to control the folks in Sacramento with their ridiculous antics.

UPDATE ON THE CENTRAL VALLEY: We all know that the Delta Smelt (those fine fish) have created havoc for farmers in the Central Valley who are not getting water due to the smelt dying when in the water pipes providing water to the valley. Well, it seems that there are meetings going on now to resolve the problem...and hopefully for the good of the farmers. Perhaps real progress will be made for a change.
