The congress and courts have ruled many times regarding religious activity and the establishment of ANTI- christian interpretations have been the result.

It is long past time to clarify the rights of people to practice their religions and it will require an Amendment to the constituiton to make it binding and irrefutable.

Recently, however the possiblity of the role of Islam and the law of Sharia have become a threat to our nation.

How should THAT affect Christian's right to free exercise of THEIR religion?

Separation of Church and State.

I think a lot of people misunderstand this because it is not worded correctly. The State is not allowed to say anything regarding the church or religion period. The Constitution makes this very clear.

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof;

This means they can't have crosses or the star of david or any religious symbols or bibles, toras, quran, or anything like that, they can't even have sharea(sp?) Law because this would establish one religion over another. This doesn't mean that an individual can't take a bible, cross, tora, quran..... With them onto public property so long as they take it with them when they leave. If you don't the state has to get rid of it.

Now the reason that a school (official) servant can't say a pray is because they represent the state, at least when they serve in that capacity.

You can blame this on the 14th Amendment, in paticular the equal protection part.

The Equal Protection Clause, part of the Fourteenth Amendment to the United States Constitution, provides that "no state shall ... deny to any person within its jurisdiction the
equal protection of the laws"

The key word here is 'person.' While this refers to people it also applies to corporations, churches, companies, foundations, unions......

This means that each church (religion) has equal protection under the law, there for if you put up a cross you also must represent all other churches (religions). This of course would be quite impossible so you have to restrict it.

Anyway it is kind of hard to explain with my limited knowledge plus my spelling is horrid. Ugh.

Just blame it on the Fourtenth Amendment which is at complete odds with the First Amendment and many other things in the Constitution which should make the 14th null and void since it doesn't address all the issues that effect other parts of the Constitution to include how Obama was able to become president, that part will have to be argued in court though.

You can quite litterally blame the 14th for most of our ills today because it turned the Constitution upside-down.

Atleast that's the way I understand it but if there is anyone else that cares to give me more information that would change my mind on that, I am more than willing to listen, read and learn.

"The Drudge Report"

"The Blaze"

"GBTV"

Serius/XM the "Patriot Channel"

WND [and their fabulous magazine "Whistle Blower"]

"Townhall"

Rush Limbaugh, Mark Levin, Glenn Beck, Mike Church, Rusty Humphries, Sean Hannity, David Webb [AWESOME!!!!]

These are just a few sources and if you 'surf' around you'll find more. Yes, it means we have to work a little harder than the mind numbed automatons that watch the sock puppets in the main stream media.

We are much smarter and more deeply involved than the majority of voters, soooooo.....it is up to us to get the facts and then to share them with people who are less resourceful than we are. If we can also give them the sites we have found our information on we will be doing alot of people great favors! [we will also be helping to save this great country from those whose desire to "FUNDAMENTALLY CHANGE IT" has put us all into the mess we find ourselves in these days!!!]

I went to a county fair last weekend and there was a booth for the local news paper there manned by one of the reporters.

He called out to me as I walked by and wanted to sell me a subscription to the newspaper.

I said . . . . .  NO THANKS and couldn't think of anything else appropriate in front of my grand kids.

I don't know how newspapers stay alive. As for TV Ionly watch Fox and they don't always thrill me either. I do depend on the net and this site and others like it. If there were a print news media of any integrity I would love it.But there's none in this country that I know of.

What a FABULOUS IDEA, Ray!

However, I've pretty much been doing this for the past three years or so. I actually emailed all of the networks, told them exactly what I thought of them [it is even BETTER today!!!!] and told them I would no longer waste my time watching, listening to or reading their idea of "NEWS STORIES" [although I DO read as much as I can before my gag reflex kicks in and I just have to stop].

I told them that they had established themselves as prostitutes and posers for the left and seemed unable to present both sides of issues. I told them that I simply wanted to know FACTS and that when all of said 'facts' were laid out in front of me, that I was perfectly capable of deciding how I felt about whatever issue was being presented. I did NOT require some plastic, made-up, 'news-reader' with good teeth and hair telling me how to feel and what to think.

Evidently, lots of other people did exactly the same thing because their ratings are looking alot like Congress's these days. It is truly amazing that their sponsors have hung in with them this long!

A woman I consider a friend, who keeps her horse at the same facility I keep mine said something about the "separation of church and state" and I asked her exactly where that whole separation "rule/law" had come from. She said "The Constitution, of course!". I keep a supply of pocket Constitutions at hand at ALL times and I gave her one and asked her to show it to me.......................she sat on the porch outside our tack room for quite sometime and read the Constitution.........eventually, she came in and said "It ISN'T IN HERE!!!!!"

Many [if not 'most'] people actually believe that there IS, in our CONSTITUTION, wording that clearly defines a "SEPARATION of CHURCH & STATE", primarily because that is what they have been TOLD, by the media, yes, but also by the decisions of so many of our courts when decisions are handed down in favor of some idiot athiest group who claims to be OFFENDED by some symbol of religion [Christianity in particular!]. Even law students are not encouraged to read the Constitution and consequently have no idea what is really contained therein or not!

Just ONCE, I would LOVE to see either some smart attorney or defendant in one of these cases hand out copies of our Constitution to the JURIES so that the juries can make an EDUCATED DECISION for a change.

The 86% of Americans who BELIEVE in a Supreme Being, need to reclaim their spines and stand up to the 14% who claim to be "OFFENDED" if they see a symbol that represents our faith in our God.

Please note this as well....there is NOTHING [I promise I am NOT making this up] in our Constitution that protects ANYONE from being OFFENDED! so just put on your big boy/girl panties and deal with it because there are more of US than there are of YOU and we've decided not to be bullied........EVER AGAIN!!!!!!!
