NOT A FLAG IN SIGHT

 

  On June 14, 1777, the Continental Congress passed a resolution adopting an official flag for the Colonial forces.

        "Resolved, That the flag of the United States be thirteen stripes, alternate red and white; that the union be thirteen stars, white in a blue field, representing a new Constellation."

Betsy Ross sewed that first flag, and for 234 years now the American Flag has waved proudly over America. It has gone with her into battle. It has stood for freedom from oppression, freedom of religion, individual freedom, and has been a blazing beacon under which a great republic has stood, proud of her heritage, proud of her accomplishments; a symbol of hope to the world. And, it has draped the coffins of the bodies of those men and women who have given their lives to ensure it stands proclaiming freedom to the whole world.

 

But this year, August, 2011, the American Flag has suddenly disappeared. Our president no less, the self-esteemed but unsympathetic to the glory of America's heritage, one Barack Hussein 0bama, has decided that flag, OUR flag, the flag of the United States of America, is not worth flying!

 

Certainly it is not worth flying on his 'funeral bus tour' in Minnesota, Iowa and Illinois.

 

So does this black monstrosity represent the failure of America? Does it represent the despair America is going through with our failed economy? Does it represent the feelings of a president who has said he will "fundamentally change" America? Does it represent the disdain and contempt 0bama shows toward America? Does it represent a failed presidency?

 

Surely in a time when our economy is on the verge of collapse, when jobs are almost non-existent and our housing market has practically dried up and blown away, one would think to bolster morale the one bus in all the world that would want to display a beacon of hope for Americans everywhere would have the Flag of the United States of America showing somewhere on the bus.

 

Instead the bus is BLACK. A funeral business drives a black hearse, NOT the bus that carries the president of the United States, unless of course that president is deceased.

 

So whatever could be the thinking behind this black monstrosity being driven as a campaign symbol? Is this some kind of coded message we are ignorant of, telling us that America lives no longer? That our hopes and dreams over the last 234 years are dead? That the "hope and change" America was promised has been fulfilled leaving us with NO hope, but the fundamental change we were promised: the hidden agenda behind 0bama's reign to destroy America one bite at a time?

 

It appears from this writer's standpoint that no stronger message could be being sent to the American public as this black hearse rolls down our highways, then the message that 0bama thinks he has accomplished his agenda and the American dream is now dead and buried in the exhaust of an all black presidential bus.

 

The audacity of hope! Is that to be our legacy? The arrogant disregard for our fundamental belief in our nation? That a sitting president would have the effrontery and insolence to blatantly ignore the American Flag is beyond conceivable. Yet here we have the president of the United States willfully and arrogantly ignoring the one symbol that defines us all - our symbol of freedom, liberty, and justice for all left behind, ignored, omitted, and forgotten.

 

What a shameful legacy for our president to offer to America. What a disgrace to those who gallantly fought and are still fighting today for the very things that flag symbolizes. And what an ungrateful and mocking way for an American president to say thank you to the country that made him the highest ranking official in the land.

 

Go back to wherever you came from, Barack Hussein 0bama. We want no part of your apathy, your insolence, or your disdain, or arrogance any longer. We did not come this far to let the likes of your sniveling, whining, and perverse ways destroy OUR country! You were never needed here in the first place, you are needed even less now! You can ride your black hearse right back to the pit of despair it came from. America will dispose of you with the rest of the trash come election day 2012!
