MILITIA PRAYER

CITIZEN’S MILITIA

Militia Prayer: Tom Cole, Pennsylvania Citizen’s Militia, lead chaplain.

Oh, Lord God of Host, Angel of the Lord that standeth with a drawn sword, author and keeper of our Salvation. We humbly implore your help to endure hardness as a good soldier.

We pray for strength as we exchange our cloaks for swords. Help us to understand, no man that wareth can be involved in the affairs of this life and
this world. So he can be worthy of the
task of a militiaman.

Oh lord, make us of good courage, as was the Reverend Josiah Clark and his Churchmen, turned militia that shed first blood at Lexington, “the shot herd around the world”. Yes Lord make us brave as those
minutemen.

Help us to understand and follow the example set for us by those citizen soldiers of the Militia that have protected our Liberty and Rights at such places as Bunker Hill, the Delaware River Crossing,
Saratoga, New Orleans, the Alamo, Gettysburg, Cuba, France and all the places
that the Armed Citizen has held the forces of tyranny, treason, and sedition at
bay.

Almighty God help us to keep proclaiming and pressing our Liberty. Let us be steadfast, with malice toward none, and charity toward all. Lord help us to
understand that our warfare is against Evil wherever it may be found.

Lord God send us conviction and help us to turn from our wicked ways, to seek thy will, to humble ourselves that You will heal our land. Show us the true and old
paths, that Thou may use us to insure Freedom throughout the land and the world

Citizen Soldier, Militiamen all turn ye to the Lord that He may give you true Freedom, and use you to preserve and protect this “land of the Free, and home of the brave.”
We ask all this in the name of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.
