Liberty in the Pines – An East Texas Event

Since we held our first Tea Party in Nacogdoches the question has remained: What can we do? While educating ourselves is not as exciting as fiery speeches, homemade signs, and patriotic songs, it is indispensable to achieving victory for our ideals. If we cannot present cogent, concise, and consistent justifications for our beliefs then we cannot convince the fence-sitters. There are many people who hold beliefs contrary to the those principles upon which this country was founded, but don’t really understand the philosophical implications of their beliefs. Being able to point out those implications can be key in showing these Statists the error of their ways.

Now more than ever we are in a battle for the future of Liberty within these United States. Since I last wrote you:

Hundreds of millions of rounds of hollow-point ammunition have been purchased by various U.S. domestic agencies including Social Security and NOAA
The Second Amendment is under attack as Congress seeks to ban over 120 firearms and introduce more stringent registration and tracking measures
Wealth-destroying Obamacare has been found Constitutional (as I predicted) and is already destroying jobs and freedom
Drones are being pushed as a logical approach to ‘protecting’ us by apparently spying on every move we make
Over 50,000 U.S. residents have had their door kicked in without warning by a militarized S.W.A.T. team – terrorizing both adults and small children and in multiple cases killing innocent citizens
The Murderer-in-Chief has declared that any senior-level Federal official can slaughter a U.S. citizen without charges, trial, or any form of due...; as though the entire District of Columbia were populated by Jack Bauer clones
The very folks who claim the right to kill those they deem potential terrorists have so loosely defined potential terrorists as to include people with more than a week’s food in their home or having served in the military among other completely innocent activities
And many more that I am now too depressed to even touch upon

If you want to know why we are here, if you want to understand how we have been inexorably creeping toward this fascist hell since the ink dried on the Constitution – and more importantly, if you want to know what choices we need to make differently in the future – please join me for “Liberty in the Pines.” This educational forum will be held on Saturday, March 23 and will feature multiple speakers on topics ranging from the functionality, past, and future of the Constitution (by yours truly) to Liberty as a justifiable philosophy. This is not a rally, it is a time to hear argumentation for a variety of solutions, ask questions, get answers, and hopefully walk away with a more structured and sound understanding of your own beliefs in the founding principles of America. You may not agree 100% with everything said (I don’t know that I will) but without a doubt you will find much common ground and many excellent arguments for Liberty that will serve you well as you encounter those who support the Nanny-State.
