‘I’m still in charge’: Phyllis Schlafly releases video following coup to oust her over Trump support

Conservative icon Phyllis Schlafly isn’t going anywhere, despite efforts to get rid of her.

Schlafly, who single-handedly defeated the radical feminist movement in the 1970’s, faced a potential coup from her organization the ‘Eagle Forum,’ after she threw her support behind GOP front-runner Donald Trump for president.

But, Schlafly is back with a new video message to all the nay-sayers, declaring that she’s “still in charge” at Eagle Forum and doesn’t plan on going anywhere.

“There seems to be a lot of confusion on what is going on in the ranks,” Schlafly says in her video message. “I understand it was said that I was there but I only piped in that board meeting just to say that I objected to its validity and to what it’s doing. And I don’t. I’m still in charge.”

Dear Friends of Eagle Forum,

In recent days, you may have heard about some issues we are having at Eagle Forum. I am grateful for your concern for me and our work.

For reasons that are not entirely clear to me, some people have been working to attack me and Eagle Forum. My disappointment is compounded by the fact that these are people with whom I have worked closely in the past. I have asked them to resign from the Board immediately so that we may continue our important work.

We have many important fights to win -- from opposing abortion to defeating Common Core, stopping misguided efforts to convene a Constitutional Convention, and making sure that the platform of the Republican Party is a sound statement of conservative principles. The Chinese Communists are on the move as Europe falters under its misguided policies of trade and immigration. And we have a vacancy on the Supreme Court that we must not allow Obama to fill.

With your help, I'm confident that we can prevail in these critical battles so that our great nation will prosper.

Word has come of a rogue board meeting and an upcoming hostile takeover of Eagle Forum's board and its assets.

Phyllis Schlafy's endorsement of Trump is a likely catalyst.

But you can be sure the real objective is to control the Eagle Forum bank accounts and that the Gang of 6 will present a carefully crafted excuse for public consumption. Please pray, call the Gang of 6 to object, and stay tuned.

On Thursday, we received a tip from a longtime Eagle Forum member in South Carolina that the Con Con people are pursuing a scheme to push Phyllis Schlafly out of Eagle Forum.

Things are happening that are disturbing. In just two days, on this coming Monday afternoon, six directors of Eagle Forum are holding a rogue meeting in violation of the Bylaws unless they are stopped. The rogue group members have a hidden agenda, and most refused to return phone calls personally made to them by Phyllis to ask what their concerns are.

They are being guided by a big, liberal law firm that they refuse to identify (but the press has identified). They also refuse to say who is funding the high paid liberal lawyers.

Here are the six directors in this Gang of 6:

Eunie Smith - allowed Alabama to be one of the first states to pass Con Con, in May 2015

Carolyn McLarty - owes Reince Priebus of the RNC for her special committee position on the RNC from Oklahoma.

Anne Cori - did nothing to stop Con Con as it sailed to passage in Missouri last year, until national Eagle Forum intervened.

Rosina Kovar - does not return calls to her by Phyllis and has mentioned to someone else that her ringleader told her not to talk to anyone.

Shirley Curry - does not return calls to her by Phyllis.

Cathie Adams - disparaged and insulted Phyllis in a publicly quoted interview in Dallas, phoned Phyllis to apologize but has not publicly retracted it.Last night we found out that Cathie Adams gave a new on-the-record press interview about this and is trying to push her agenda. Thanks to Cathie we will now see this terrible betrayal of Phyllis play out in the media!

We need your help to stop this hostile takeover.
