Dear Mr. Resident,

When you gave that rousing speech the other day, you know, the one about no successful person ever doing it all on his/her own, you made me think, deeply, about it.

THANK YOU!

 

I have been considered quite successful in my career journey, and you’re right!

My success was due to lots of other peoples’ efforts, not just my own. I am a successful businessperson today due not to my own efforts, but to the efforts of legions of other people, who propelled me to the heights that I now enjoy!

I started my business on a shoestring, and spent years, struggling to attain the American Dream!

And I owe it all to others!

Not to any government or any politician,.... I succeeded in spite of those.....

My success is owed to a very unique group of very fine, but very average Americans.

I shall spend the rest of my working life in utter and undying gratitude to that very special group of people! I will never forget them, and their essential, and priceless contribution to my success!

And, you were right, Mr. Resident. Over the years they were very generous with their money, to such an extent that I came to depend on them. They became the center of my existence! And I am very devoted to them.

That very special group of very special people of whom I refer is none other than...........(are you ready for this, Mr. Resident?)....

....My many thousands of satisfied customers!

I shall always remember, and I will never, ever, forget that it was they who put me here! I am forever indebted to them.

And I will never forget the very wise words I learned, many years ago, when I had nothing but my dreams to inspire me:

" THE CUSTOMER IS ALWAYS RIGHT"

In your case, Mr. Resident, you would be wise to heed those words. But in the place of the word "customer" insert the word "voter", and repeat those words to yourself every day after your next moving day, which I understand will be on January 20, 2013.

I also believe that November 6 will be eJection day for you, not election day. Please inform your buddy, Mr. Medjedev, of your forwarding address. Vladimer, Fidel and Hugo should be notified, also.

 

Good luck in finding your new home, as you and your family move "forward".
