I grew up with Peter Paul and Mary...........I knew [still do] all of the words to most of their songs. They had a unique 'sound', a beautiful harmony, a way of winding notes around each other to make such special music. Some of it protesting things here in the US and some praising the heroism of the Ireish who fought for their freedom against the opression of the Brits.
My brother plays the guitar..............I mean he PLAYS THE GUITAR, our parents were going to send him to Spain to study with Andres Segovia [truly, he was THAT good!] and he went to Woodstock instead [part of him is sorry, the other part had one heck of a great time!] anyway, we used to sing so many of these songs and [OMG] I still remember the words AND the music!
Thank you SO MUCH, Raya, for one of the best Saturday night's entertainment in a long time! :~)
