I agree, that is why part of my family eats porterhouse as you and I do not. We live in America and we are Free to eat and drink what we want. You should do a good one on Breastfeeding and Formula too. I Breastfed both my children for over two years.....my choice. Now we see Bloomie almost forcing women to do it and locking up formula. Can you imagine. He is forcing the Hospitals to lock up formula with the drugs. He says the Hospital must go in each time the Mother asks for a bottle and give them a sermon on breastfeeding and formula. Who is really for women's choice? I thought Democrats were for women....not so much. I also defend the right of free choice. I guess I get sensitive when people say things regarding vegetarians. I too apologies.  I think I will go and drink a 3 cans of soda.....not really but I defend it. I'm Happy to know we are still on the same page. NOW....go eat your veggies.....lol

Sincerest apologies if the post offended you. That was not the point. I LOVE Broccoli, and wholeheartedly agree that all vegetables and fruits are healthy. ( But I really love Porterhouse Steak, too. ...   ;-(   sorry )

To paraphrase the philosopher, Voltaire, :

 

"...I may not agree with what you [ eat ], but will defend to the death your right to [ eat ] it!"

 

I just don't like liberals telling me what, or what not, to eat.

 

...Like New York's mayor Bloomberg. If I want a 32 oz. Big Gulp, by golly, I'll drink it!

 

...or Michelle O telling me what I should eat.

I was always with you until this post. I'm 60 years old and have been a vegetarian for over 50 years. My choice when I was a child ....against my parents wishes. I'm not a Democrat, I'm a conservative and a Christian. I just happen to not have ever wanted to eat and animal. I'm really surprised at this post. I rescue animals and it is my choice and my choice alone. My husband and son are meat eaters I do not try to sway them. My daughter and children are vegetarian, her husband is not. People think I'm in my forties and I run every day and work out. I have lots of energy so what the heck is wrong with being a vegetarian?  You are sounding more like the Devil crats than a Conservative group. I love every veggie their is and can grow them in my garden. Fruit is natures candy. Wow! Are you saying you do not eat any broccoli? By the way my favorite veggie is Edamame with sea salt pop those pods in your mouth and it is really candy. Shame on you.
