WHERE IS YOUR CANDLE?

Matt 5:14 Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid.

15 Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house.

16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.

Are we so caught up in our daily grind that we have forgotten to let our Light so Shine that it might cause others to Glorify our Father in Heaven? Or have we allowed our lights to be dimmed by all the garbage going on in the world today?

Hasn't the Lord called us, you and I, to be that Light on a Hilltop so that ALL might see the Light shine? Light attracts and Light repeals. No light at all, does nothing but cause confusion, falling and loss.

It is up to us to keep our Lamps filled so that we would have enough oil to keep our Lights shining brightly but, where does that oil come from. It comes from the Word of God, from communion with Him, in that I mean, communing with Him, having communication with Him. Talking to Him as a Friend, better yet, as a Brother. This is over and above prayer life.

Psalm 23 is where the Lord wishes you to be everyday with Him, in His Garden. When you are in His presence you can not but help to be a shining Light because you are a Reflection of His Glory.

If you are not feeling that Light, then we need a closer walk or talk with Him. The world is crying, seeking, everyone of us is a vessel to be used to Honor our God and our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. All it takes is to allow our Lights to Shine! He will draw all men unto you when your Light is Shining, others will be repealed by that same light because they love darkness rather then light.

We need to get out of self and into Christ. To die to our needs and wants and into the needs and wants of those the Lord brings into our lives. Do away with the Woe is Mes. And look unto the author of our faith, the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End and give Him all your cares for He careth for you and begin to shine your Light on every hilltop and in every valley you come across.

Great post, Emil. We all need God in our lives, and definitely in the life of our republic. Jesus Christ is the Light of the world. Without Him in America, the world would plunge into darkness and be in total anarchy. There are certain wicked individuals, sesking to remove God's name from our schools. They don't want to pledge allegiance to "one nation under God". They want to remove God's name from our coins.

Personally, as a servant soldier in the army of Almighty God, I will continue to speak out with boldness against this evil, in all its' various manifistations.

"And now, Lord, behold their threatenings: and grant unto thy servants, that with all boldness they may speak thy word, By stretching forth thine hand to heal; and that signs and wonders may be done by the name of thy holy child Jesus." Acts 4:29-30
