Harold, are you referring to Glenn Beck? Publishers are the one's who set prices on books.

Is you time worth money? I mean, if you were a plumber, would you fix someone's house for free or would you charge for your time? Glenn does a different job, he writes books, has a radio show and gets paid to speak. What's wrong with that?

BTW, Glenn gives 10% to his Church; he bought all the tickets for the Kennedy Center event on 8/27, so he could invite pastors and lay people to hear about "America's Divine Destiny". He didn't have to do that. Those who book his events tried to talk him out of it. He also paid for the air fare and hotel rooms of all speakers at his "Restoring Honor" rally because he felt times are tough and many of those he invited don't make as much money as he does. His American Express bill... his personal American Express bill was over $250,000 for the month of August. If he was the greedy guy you and all you accusers of the brethren on Real Conservatives think he is, then how do you explain that?

I try to live according to my Christian principles, which tell me to "let every man be swift to hear , slow to speak , slow to wrath" (James 1:19). This is all the more important when it comes to those doing so much in the service of America and it's freedoms. So what if he doesn't believe Obama was born overseas; so what if he doesn't believe the government had something to do with 9/11. Mr. Beck has never tried to stop the birthers or truthers; has never tried to shut down their organizations. He just disagrees and has said so.

What's really important is that we think like Jesus did. When his disciples saw someone they didn't know casting out demons in the name of Jesus they wanted Jesus to stop the guy. Jesus said to them, "Forbid him not: for he that is not against us is for us" (Luke 9:50). Doesn't that make a lot more sense then going around bad mouthing someone who is not against us?

Do I like McCain? No. Do I trust him? Not especially. But if it means ridding ourselves of a Dem majority in the Senate, I'll put up with him for another term. What we needed to run against John in the Repub primary was another Barry Goldwater. Didn't happen. Sadly, it didn't happen. I do believe JM would at least vote to impeach Zero. RAJ
