Why the TEA PARTY will STILL be the political philosophy of conservatives even after Republicans win big in November

Republican leaders STILL don't get it!!

"Republicans on the campaign trail are bashing the president and his agenda... Behind the scenes, key party members are talking a different game." - The Wall Street Journal

As we read the passage above in a recent Wall Street Journal piece, our eyebrows raised. But then our worst fears were confirmed when The Journal quoted Congressman Darrell Issa as
saying: "It's pretty clear the American people expect us to use the existing gridlock to create
compromise... They [the American people] want us to come together after we agree to disagree."

"It's pretty clear?"
What is Congressman Issa, a generally
reliable conservative, talking about? Have our conservative allies in
Congress taken complete leave of their senses? Do they just not get it?


No, Congressman Issa. With all due respect, the American people do NOT want conservatives in Congress to use gridlock to "create compromise" on Barack Obama’s radical agenda. The American people want the socialist Obama-Pelosi-Reid agenda STOPPED... PERIOD... END OF SENTENCE.
And yet, in spite of the wishes of the American people, once again, this dangerous urge to "compromise"
with the
opposition has reared its ugly head. It's clear that far too many of
our self-proclaimed conservative leaders, yet again, need to be
reminded about
what the American people really want... And with the
November elections right around the corner, it’s up to....

As President Ronald Reagan once said, "If not us, who? If not now, when?"

Issa Is Not The Only One... New"">
On Tuesday, Congressman Issa called Rush Limbaugh’s radio show and attempted to "clarify" his comments. But, in doing so, he managed only to muddy the
waters more.

Limbaugh, articulating the true feelings of the American people, explained: "One thing worse than shutting down the government is the government continuing on like it is now.
This can't be sustained. This is what the people who live, breathe and work in this country understand."

Limbaugh went on to tell Issa: "Let me explain to you why people
were calling your office all upset. The people that are going to secure
the Republican victory look at Barack Obama as somebody who's
destroying their
country. Not somebody to be compromised with, somebody who needs to be
stopped... the idea that you're gonna end up working with him is
anathema.
People want this man stopped."

Amen to that. Limbaugh
gets it... You and the large majority of the American people get it...
But unfortunately, far too many conservative leaders in Congress don't
–
or simply refuse to – get it.

Indeed, Issa sadly is not a lone wolf when it comes to a willingness to arrogantly dismiss the wishes of the American people and "compromise" with Barack Obama.

The Journal goes on to note that other "GOP leaders say they recognize they may have
to compromise with Democrats in tackling broader problems."

There's that word again... "compromise." The plain and simple truth is what
"GOP leaders" have really failed to "recognize" is
that there is a tidal wave occurring in this great country of ours. And, instead of conservatives "compromising" on the radical Obama-Pelosi-Reid agenda... it’s some Democrats who will have to side
with the American people (and against the Obama Administration and their liberal congressional leaders) in "tackling broader problems."
Compromise Is A Republican Disease. You Are The Cure.
There are some who will ask: Why should patriotic Americans bother to call our elected leaders on the carpet for their willingness to "compromise?"

The answer...? When we do just that, our conservative leaders see the light. When you talk... they ultimately listen.

A few trips down memory lane are in order.

When liberals first started pushing ObamaCare through Congress, conservatives in the House and Senate reflexively started calling for compromise. One of those leading the charge to compromise, Senator Mike Enzi, scolded patriotic Americans; "If you're not at the table, you're on the menu." Your Blast Faxes and calls changed that perspective. When the first Stimulus was proposed, conservatives yet again reflexively rushed to "compromise." The urge to "compromise" was so strong that Senator John McCain suspended his presidential campaign and rushed back to Washington to lead the charge of the compromise brigade. Again, your Blast Faxes and phone calls changed their minds. When liberals started pushing for Amnesty for millions of illegal aliens, the "compromise" monster reared its ugly head once again. You remember what happened. A group of Republicans and Democrats emerged from behind closed doors... laughing. They claimed they had forged a "compromise." They never bothered to ask the American people for an opinion and, in reality, they simply gave the pro-Amnesty crowd everything it wanted. Again, your phone calls and Blast Faxes changed their attitudes and killed the amnesty bill.

We could cite more examples, but you get the point.

The bottom line... While it's admittedly a lesson that we must continually teach them... conservatives in Congress DO get the message when patriotic Americans like you press the point.

The time to force them to get the message is once again upon us. And
the time t....
